They are seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Barcelona, to be part of their Data Science & Analytics team, which specializes in developing and implementing cutting-edge AI, ML, and data science solutions.
Tasks

- Design and develop robust database and machine learning (ML) architectures to manage and process large data volumes effectively and operationalize complex ML models

- Develop and optimize automated data pipelines using SQL and Python, ensuring seamless integration of data from diverse sources

- Create and maintain back-end integrations between BI tools and data sources to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, code using AWS and CI/CD pipelines, and support AI, ML, and analytics solutions

- Lead and contribute to an Agile team environment, mentoring and training team members to foster professional growth and collaboration


Requirements

- Full professional level of English

- Degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data management technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, and Snowflake

- Proficiency in advanced SQL coding and data modeling for system integration and optimization

- Experience developing with Python or PySpark for ML processing, data analysis, and automation

- Skilled in creating visualizations and dashboards using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker

- Strong ability to write SQL queries to investigate source data and troubleshoot data-related issues

- Working knowledge of: cloud data technologies and architecture; Big Data tools and technologies, such as Spark, and AWS EMR; building CI/CD pipelines for code deployment

- A critical thinker, with a natural curiosity for learning, and a passion for solving complex problems

- A highly analytical and organized individual who excels at managing competing priorities independently

- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with strong time management and structured development practices
