About This Role

Are you excited about making a difference in a dynamic global online food delivery and grocery marketplace? At Just Eat Takeaway, we're committed to expanding and diversifying our network. As a finance business partner dedicated to Italian and Spanish markets you will have a key role in the Local Finance team. You will support and work closely with IT and ES Country Finance Lead and liaise with various departments,such as Sales/Logistics/Marketing/Customer Services functions on reporting & planning, financial modelling, commercial decision-making, and more.

The role will have broad responsibility for bringing analytic rigour to the local process of evaluating operational, commercial and financial performance. Direct reporting to both IT & ES Country Finance Leads. The role navigates challenges from shaping long-term strategy to driving short-term performance and being actively involved in financial projects. The main objective is providing clear data-driven risks and opportunities recommendations to achieve growth and profitability.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Partner with the IT & ES leadership team, providing advice and challenge stakeholders
• Perform extensive commercial-financial modelling and analysis for a variety of reporting and planning activities, including month-end analysis, strategic planning, and business cases
• Work with the IT & ES leadership team to coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process ensuring collaboration and consensus with Central functions and Central FP&A team.
• Actively engage in the month-end process by controlling functions P&Ls, with stringent reviews versus budget, analysis, and reporting
• Work on ad-hoc analysis and projects such as order forecasting, CPO & RPO assessment.
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Extensive experience as Commercial Finance/Business Partnering with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably in digital/tech sectors.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or financial analyst (CFA) is a plus
• A highly analytical and strategic mindset with advanced problem-solving skills
• Strong commercial business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal/external stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills, team player, trustworthy, flexible, solution-oriented, entrepreneurial, highly committed
• Advanced Excel, financial modelling and reporting skills required
• Outstanding presentation, reporting, communication, and visualisation skills
• Experience in working within a matrix organisation and in an international environment is a plus
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken (Spanish and Italian is a plus)
