AIMEN is a multi-sector Innovation and Technology Centre that develops R&D&I activities and provides technological services to the industry in the fields of Materials, Advanced Manufacturing processes, Digitalization, and sustainability.

As a Junior Researcher, you will join the Advanced Composite Technologies Unit (COMPTech):
- Execute R&D&I projects related to sustainable cements, mortars and concretes, carrying out formulation, dosage and characterisation tests.
- Define, execute and interpret characterisation tests (mechanical, physico-chemical and rheological) of construction materials (cements, geopolymers), within R&D projects.
- Coordinate and adequately manage the execution times and priorities of the tests with the R&D project managers.
- Perform information search, state of the art / bibliography related to the characterisation and development of construction materials formulations.
- Contact with equipment and material suppliers for technical queries.
- Participation in external and internal project meetings, participation in congresses and seminars etc.
Education:
- Degree in Chemistry or Physics.
- Degree in Materials Engineering.
- Related technical degrees with content in Materials.
Job specific skills:
- Training in construction materials (cements, concretes and sustainable cements).
- Knowledge of characterisation techniques (mechanical testing, physical and chemical characterisation).
- English: intermediate level (spoken and written).
- Office: intermediate level (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Driving licence and own vehicle.
Desirable qualifications and skills:
- Knowledge in additive manufacturing with construction materials.
- Knowledge of plastic materials (thermoplastics and thermosets), manufacturing processes and characterisation techniques.
