Mission
You play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients.
As Cyclotron Service Engineer, you are responsible for installation, calibration and commissioning activities on the Proton Therapy site, with a specific focus on the cyclotron subsystem.
As part of the project, you will be responsible for potentially 2 or 3 installations in a row. In theory, the entire project is scheduled to take approximately 30 months.
A training period is planned before the launch of the first installation. The first installation, based in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) is expected to be completed within 12 months with a start planned on October 2025. The start date may be adjusted if necessary.
Our HR team will support you in your relocation to your second location.

As Service Engineer Cyclotron, You Are Responsible For
- Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the cyclotron subsystem equipment (electrical and electronics cabinets, cooling systems, vacuum systems, high and low voltage equipment, etc.)
- Performing the cyclotron subsystem calibration following procedures
- Testing and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
- Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems
- Collaborating intensively during the installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of the equipment
- Troubleshooting the equipment including solving electrical and mechanical issues
- Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-art technologies and services
You have:
- A Master degree in engineering (Electronics, Electro-mechanics or Mechanics)
- Preferably a previous experience in an industrial environment
- An strong technical experience in Proton Therapy or a specific subsystem with key strengths in practical application
- The ability to troubleshoot large systems issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish is an asset.
- Customer-oriented
- Able to follow rules & regulations and you able to deliver on strict deadlines
- Analytical, able to identify root cause of issues
- Willing to share your knowledge in your area of expertise
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel extensively during the training period
- A flexible person, willing to work in rotating shift work, night work and weekends (up to 50% of your time)

- Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the electro-mechanical equipment (Gantry, Power Supply Cabinets, Electrical wiring, X-Ray equipment, etc.)
- Testing, calibrating and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
- Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems
- Collaborating intensively during installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of equipment
- Troubleshooting the equipment including solving electrical and mechanical issues
- Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services
You have:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or an equivalent experience
- A sound experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair
- Technical knowledge of cooling systems, vacuum systems, PLC’s regulation loops, drivers, sensors, electric motors, positioning equipment, high and low voltage equipment
- The ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish is an asset.
- Knowledge of local EHS regulations
- Able to follow procedures and you able to deliver on strict deadlines
- Analytical, with good troubleshooting skills, able to identify root cause of issues
- Willing to share your knowledge in your area of expertise
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel extensively during the training period
