As procurement specialist you will be responsible for finding goods and services for InPost Iberia at the best value regarding quality and price. Your underlying duty will be meeting budget constraint to increase profitability and to help us keep growing.
What responsibilities and objectives will you have?
- Implementing purchasing strategies. Sourcing for global sourcing strategies, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships
- Ensuring that all purchases adhere to Procurement Policy.
- Managing supplier relationships; tracks supplier performance, supply/availability, pricing, and quality
- Auditing all ongoing purchases in the company to identify potential savings and contribute to the EBITDA objectives (starting with largest purchases).
- Benchmarking current suppliers with better market alternatives, group suppliers or creative solutions, testing new purchases and making them a reality.
- Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfil all customer requests.
- Maintains strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow up and communication regarding material arrival issues arising in the supply chain
- Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company.
- Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
- Proactively resolves issues (i.e., material shortages, quality issues, etc.) with vendors and internal customers using organizational savvy and critical thinking skills.
- Negotiates contracts with key suppliers, provides supplier evaluations, and proposes alternative solutions.
- Creates and tracks all purchase orders and contracts.
- Anticipates and plans for inventory needs and ensures timely arrivals.
- Seeks to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts and strategic partnerships.
Well, what will the requirements be?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be required.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Great organizational, planning skills, excellent networking and time management skills.
- The ability to identify market trends and make decisions.
- The ability to follow client specifications.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiation.
