We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Student Housing Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview: The Student Housing Assistant will be responsible for managing housing-related communications and coordinating with both students and maintenance teams.
This includes organizing repairs, ordering keys, and resolving any day-to-day issues that arise.
Additionally, the role will involve supporting the Student Affairs department.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities: Student and Maintenance Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for students regarding housing-related inquiries and issues.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of student accommodations.
Repair Coordination: Organize and schedule repairs and maintenance services as needed.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the required standards.
Key Management: Handle the ordering, distribution, and tracking of keys for student housing.
Ensure a secure and well-managed key system is in place.
Day-to-Day Problem Solving: Address and resolve any housing-related issues that arise on a day-to-day basis, ensuring students have a positive and comfortable living experience.
Support for Student Affairs: Assist the Student Affairs department with administrative tasks and student support, as needed.
Administrative Duties: Maintain housing records, prepare reports, and manage correspondence.
Ensure all administrative processes related to housing are handled effectively.
Qualifications: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Microsoft Office Competency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office tools.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages, with the ability to interact professionally with students and staff.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage repairs, key distribution, and administrative duties effectively.
