About the job
Perdigó is an engineering firm specialised in the design, calculation and legalisation of pressure vessels and pressurised installations. We also perform customised engineering studies involving mechanical and FEA & CFD simulations with Ansys. Our diverse client portfolio includes manufacturers of pressure vessels, facility installers, facility end users and producers of mechanical devices. Thanks to our work, their equipment is productive and safe.
We are currently seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona.
Responsibilities:
- Develop technical projects for CE marking or facility legalisation of pressurised systems.
- Design and calculate pressure vessels and mechanical components according to design codes.
- Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methodologies for structural, thermal and fluent analyses.
- Guide our clients considering applicable standards and design codes.
- Participate in the development of the company.
About you:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking applied to mechanical design.
- Understanding of FEA methods, preferably with Ansys software.
- Responsible and result oriented; professional and ambitious.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
The following would be valued positively:
- Prior working experience.
- Understanding of CFD methods, preferably with Ansys software.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and/or SpaceClaim.
- Understanding of codes and standards such as ASME, EN, TEMA, API, ASTM, AD-Merkblatt.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel design software as AutoPipe Vessel.
- Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Pharma, Food or Oil & Gas industry.
