That’s why we’re looking for a passionate and dynamic Operations Manager to lead our Italian adventures, delivering unforgettable journeys while ensuring smooth and profitable operations.
In this role, you’ll oversee our local trips, managing everything from the recruitment and training of Group Leaders to designing innovative itineraries that inspire our travellers. As a key player in shaping the future of Intrepid Country Office Italy, you’ll champion our commitment to Responsible Travel, driving sustainable tourism practices across the region.
You’ll ensure the success of our trips by monitoring performance, upholding safety standards, and fostering strong communication between on-ground teams and management. Your expertise in operations, leadership, and travel will make our Italian adventures truly extraordinary for both travellers and staff.
This is a full-time, permanent position, operating in a hybrid capacity from our Rome office. Some flexibility in work hours will be required due to the operational nature of the role.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
- Proven experience in middle to senior-level operational management within the tourism industry, ideally across cultures or multiple locations, with a strong ability to embed and monitor policies and processes.
- Extensive travel experience in Europe, paired with in-depth knowledge of itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Italy.
- Crisis management skills with a calm and responsible approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of others.
- Demonstrated expertise in people and team management, including training, leading remote teams, and understanding the qualities that make an exceptional Group Leader.
- Strong ability to implement, oversee, and action policies and processes effectively within the business.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to delegate effectively while managing operations within budget.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and in English, with additional languages being highly advantageous.
- Previous experience as a tour leader is an advantage.

Your Mission:
- Market the space: Ensure that all coworking spots are fully booked by developing creative marketing campaigns and building a strong online presence.
- Run the operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the coworking space, ensuring everything runs smoothly and members have the best possible experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute marketing strategies to increase occupancy for our locations.
- Manage social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), including content creation, scheduling, and engaging with followers.
- Handle inquiries from potential members, give tours, and onboard new tenants.
- Ensure the coworking space is well-maintained, fully equipped, and meets the needs of its members.
- Collaborate with the team to align branding and operations with the YOUNG mission: "Unite to Disrupt."
- Track and report on marketing and operational KPIs, suggesting improvements where needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proactive, multitasking professional who can balance marketing and operations.
- Proven experience in marketing (social media management, campaign creation, etc.).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage day-to-day operations.
- A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for delivering results.
- Fluent English is required; Spanish is a strong plus.
