Guidewire Developer for Insurance competency

This specific position gives you the opportunity to interact within international environment and work with the most recognizable and influential players on the market.

The opportunity

As a Guidewire Developer you will participate in various streams of Insurance platform implementation projects, collaborate with agile team members to achieve project and client goals and be a part of Business Insurance Transformations. We are looking for a passionate developer willing to move our projects on the new track! You will use the most advanced technology stack and have an opportunity to implement new solutions while working with top leaders in their industries. As a part of our global team you will participate in international projects based on latest data technologies and cloud platforms.

Your key responsibilities
- Need to work as a Guidewire to contribute in various technical streams of Guidewire implementation projects.
- Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators.
- Planning and monitoring of the project deliverables from the team.
- Willing to travel to the customers locations on need basis.
- Participating in the organization-wide people initiatives.

Skills and attributes for success
- Willingness to work in Guidewire development
- Minimum 4 years hands on experience in Java
- Understanding of any JVM technologies or surrounding ecosystem
- Awareness of good coding practices (Clean Code, Design Patterns)

To qualify for the role, you must have

- Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, IT, Science, other Technical qualification.
- 4+ years in a corporate IT environment in a similar positions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication

Ideally, you´ll also have
- Hands-on experience with Angular 5
- Working experience with Kotlin
- Spanish would be a strong asset

Job Description

As a Java DEVELOPER, you will participate in the Business Intelligence team of the company in Surveillance department.

What are we looking for?
- Technical execution of the developments required for the information systems
- Evolution and corrective maintenance of the existing information solution
- Support for service incidents, including planned interventions
- Analytical profile to understand the changes
- Manage changes across the environments that are part of ALM, including adoption of techniques for Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration
- Management of distributed applications throughout their life cycle in development, pre-production and production (ALM) environments

Qualifications

What are we looking for?
- Java
- SQL
- Knowledge of the principles of DevOps
- Ability to understand business requirements from End-users: transform the big set of data into meaningful data easy to visualize is a must.
- Skills to understand relationship among complex data. The candidate has to be able to manage autonomously the raw data and make proposals to the users about what to include/exclude and how to present it on the dashboards.
