Introduction To The Vacant Position
The Biosensors for Bioengineering Group is looking for a Researcher Training position to participate in a multidisciplinary team and support the research work on developing new functionalization protocols for gold nanostructures. The research will be conducted in the framework of EU project.
Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:
- Join a team of researchers focused on developing new surface chemistry using new technological approaches.
- Develop protocols to study the surfaces by localised surface plasmon resonance.
- Characterise the surface.
Requirements for candidates:
- Degree and master's degree in any field of bioengineering or engineering.
- Competencies and skills: excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactivity, commitment, critical, integrity and analytical thinking
- High level of English
- Experience with biomaterials.
- Experience in material science will be considered a plus.
- Experience with microfabrication will be considered a plus.

- Working conditions:

About Us
We are an e-commerce business based in Barcelona focused on the secondary art market. Our main specialization is 20th-century Spanish art, though we also work with 19th- and 18th-century pieces and selected international artists.
We are developing our online presence, content, and authority on art — particularly within the Barcelona cultural context — and you will work closely with our e-commerce marketing team to make our website a reference point for art in Barcelona.
Role & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Freelance Junior Art Researcher to support the research and content development functions of our platform.
Key tasks include:
- Conduct detailed research on specific paintings (provenance, cataloguing, exhibitions).
- Research art movements, artist collaborations, schools, and periods for educational and content pages.
- Input structured data and help maintain or expand our online artist directory.
- Identify and prepare content related to the Barcelona art scene (museums, artists, exhibitions).
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to enhance our platform as a resource for art enthusiasts.
- Support occasional ad-hoc research or fact-checking tasks.
- Interest or background in art history, particularly Spanish or European art.
- Strong research and writing skills; ability to work independently.
- Excellent written English (Spanish or Catalan a plus).
- Attention to detail and comfort with spreadsheets or databases.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage flexible, remote work.
