The research group "Impact and prevention of mental disorders", led by Dr. Josep Maria Haro, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in interventions aimed at promoting mental health and wellbeing or preventing mental disorders. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing and new research projects within the group, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and play an active role in publishing high-quality scientific output.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to research projects focusing on mental health promotion and prevention of mental disorders.
• Analyze and interpret quantitative and/or qualitative data.
• Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at scientific conferences.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, including clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to grant writing and project proposals.
• Support supervision of junior researchers or doctoral students, as appropriat
  
  
  

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

• Holding a PhD degree in a health-related discipline (Psychology, Medicine, Public Health, etc), or a closely related subject relevant to the field of the study, isa requisite.
• Relevant experience of research in the field of the study; i.e.: experience in international projects, published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
• Proficiency in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.
• Excellent scientific writing skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
• English and Spanish (Written and Spoken), knowledge on Catalan will be evaluated positively.
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder research experience would be considered as a plus.
  
  
  

We offer:

• Full time contract (37.5 hours) with a trial period of 4 month.
• Location: Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Deu in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona).
• Annual salary will vary depending on the candidate's experience.

Introduction To The Vacant Position

The Phase Transitions in Health and Disease Group is looking for an Early Stage Researcher (PhD student) to develop his/her PhD thesis project on modifiers of amyloid nucleation.

The project will develop starting from recent work from the lab addressing the transition state of amyloid beta nucleation.

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

• Designing Deep Mutagenesis Experiments
• Performing Selection Assays
• Analyzing Large Sequencing Data
  
  

Requirements For Candidates

Degree and Master in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences

Substantial Lab Experience

Experience in high-throughput selection assays

Cloning Expertise and Computational Skills (R, Phyton) will be a plus

Communication, Teamwork, Commitment, Proactivity, Collegiality, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.

High level of English
