Sotogrande International School is seeking an an enthusiastic English Teacher to join our thriving, dynamic and collaborative department where creativity and innovation are celebrated for a late August start date. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• A proficient and engaging English teacher with empathy for students and a passion for literature, language, and performance.
• Inspire students with dynamic and interactive lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression.
• Foster a love for literature, drama, and the performing arts; helping students to develop their communicative, analytical, and creative skills.
• Contribute to the school’s extracurricular program, including public speaking, literary events and whole school productions.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and maintain the school’s high academic and creative standards.
• Model resilience by adapting to diverse learning needs, embracing challenges and demonstrating a growth-mindset.
  
  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a PGCE, PGDE and/or QTS or Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) with QTS
• Proven experience teaching Language & Literature, preferably within an IB MYP/DP context.

• A - Level English Language
• IGCSE/A - Level Drama / Media Studies
