About You
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development (Apex, LWC).
- Architectural Vision: You can design solutions that scale. You understand the trade-offs between synchronous and asynchronous processing, and you know how to protect the org from hitting Governor Limits.
- AI Readiness: You are excited by the potential of LLMs and Agentic AI. You understand concepts like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Prompt Engineering and are ready to apply them to enterprise CRM. Ensuring they are grounded in accurate data and operate within strict security boundaries.

We work on-site several days a week, using that time to connect, align, and innovate as a team. However, we also understand the importance of focus and flexibility, so we support remote work when it makes sense - whether for deep work, personal needs, or just a change of scenery.
This balance helps us stay agile, creative, and closely connected, while giving everyone the space to do their best work.
Your profile
- You are a team player: You are comfortable helping your teammates, sharing your knowledge, reviewing their code and asking for reviews of your own.
- You have a user-centric mindset: You know that the only reason we write code is to help our users to perform their tasks.
- You are a learner: you want to improve your skills not only in the engineering field but across any other areas.

We tell our managers and peers things we think we cannot say, practicing radical candor to drive innovation and improvement.
- Effective Communication: Clear communication, especially in writing, is crucial. We communicate openly, build narratives, and aren´t afraid to debate ideas. If we can´t explain something clearly, we seek to understand more deeply until we can. And remember, English is our vehicular language, so you need to be comfortable with it!
- Product Vision: We understand our users´ needs and actively engage with them. We constantly look for business opportunities, always asking "What can be next for Factorial?"
- Reliability and Accountability: We deliver on our commitments while maintaining high quality. We feel accountable for the culture and make others feel accountable too. When we see something broken, we stand up to fix it, feeling responsible for all of Factorial.
- Problem-Solving: We don´t limit ourselves to our nominal job definition. We bring, execute, and later communicate solutions, seeking approval only for decisions that would be hard to reverse.

- Having Fun: While our work is serious, we trust our gut when we have a 10x motivation to try something new. We jump on opportunities for innovation, involving as many people as possible.
At Factorial we don´t evaluate you by the years of experience you have, we evaluate your knowledge and skills. How? We have a Career Path with a rubric framework where we define what is expected for each experience level and skill. This framework allows you to know at which level you´re right now and what you need to keep growing. As we love transparency, our Career Path includes the salaries for each level and we share it during the first interview to make sure we´re aligned.
For this senior-level position, the annual gross salary is between 60,500 and 70,000€. This includes a base salary of 55,000€ and a variable pay of up to 7,000€ annually (paid quarterly), depending on the company´s goals.
Your daily life with us
You´ll start with a 2 weeks onboarding period, where you will:
- Learn about Factorial: our product, our team, our clients
- Pair with each member of the team at least once, to see their current initiatives
- Solve low-stake bug tickets or quick wins
- Commit early and often thanks to our preprod and demo environments

You will review code, and get feedback on your own code.
You will learn from the entire team, both on technical topics (performance, architecture...) and core skills, in an environment driven by engineering quality.

- Alan private health insurance

NuevaBending Spoons
Software engineer
Bending Spoons · Barcelona, ES
Teletrabajo . Python Docker Kubernetes Microservices REST gRPC Excel Office
At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers. A company where team members grow to their full potential. A company that functions at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency. A company that creates value for shareowners at an extraordinary rate. And a company that does so while adhering to high ethical standards.
To achieve this objective, we execute the following strategy: We acquire a digital business with untapped potential and make it as successful as we can by leveraging our platform—which comprises our expertise, technologies, data, brand, talents, and company culture. Then, we invest the proceeds into making our platform more powerful, and into acquiring new businesses. Thus, our strategy sees us combine an investor’s attention to capital allocation with the hands-on approach of an operator.
For a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons is an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress their career at an exceptionally high rate. That’s our promise to such a candidate.
A few examples of your responsibilities
- Master your toolkit. By working across diverse tech stacks in a full-stack, end-to-end scope, you’ll refine your ability to choose the right tools for every challenge. From monolithic to microservices architectures, gRPC to REST APIs, Kubernetes to Docker, Python to Rust—you’ll show that true expertise isn’t about using the trendiest technologies, but about understanding their purpose to unleash their full potential.
- Build stuff that matters. Regardless of your seniority, you’ll enjoy plenty of autonomy and take full ownership of your work, from ideation to execution. You’ll have the unique opportunity to build software from the ground up and witness firsthand how your code evolves into a product used at scale.
- Simplify relentlessly. Is every component essential? Do we need this process? As a Bending Spoons engineer, your mission is to turn complexity into simplicity. Whether optimizing CI/CD pipelines, writing maintainable code, or crafting minimalist architectures, your drive to simplify will power scalable, future-proof solutions.
- Reasoning ability. Given the necessary knowledge, you can solve complex problems. You think from first principles, and structure your ideas sharply. You resist the influence of biases. You identify and take care of the details that matter.
- Drive. You’re extremely ambitious in everything you do—and your initiative, effort, and tenacity match the intensity of your ambition. You feel deeply responsible for your work. You hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar.
- Team spirit. You give generously and without the expectation of receiving in return. You support the best idea, not your idea. You're always happy to get your hands dirty to help your team. You’re reliable, honest, and transparent.
- Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.
- Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. You’ll work in small, result-oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field.

If you're offered a permanent contract, you'll also be able receive some of your pay in company equity at a discounted price, thus participating in the value creation we achieve together. The selection process
In our screening process, we prioritize verifiable signals of excellence, regardless of seniority. Some people hold back because they feel they lack experience or have an “imperfect” CV. If you like the role and believe you could excel over time, don’t self-reject.
If you pass our screening, you’ll be asked to complete one or more tests. They are challenging, may involve unfamiliar problems, and can take several hours.
We set the bar high and won’t extend an offer until we’re confident we’ve found the right candidate. This is why a job may remain open for months or be reposted several times.
We consider all applicants for employment and provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities—please let us know through this form.
Before you apply
If you’ve applied before but didn't receive an offer, we recommend waiting at least one year before applying again.
Bending Spoons is a demanding environment. We’re extremely ambitious and we hold ourselves—and one another—to a high standard. While this tends to lead to extraordinary learning, achievement, and career growth, it also requires significant commitment.
To help you ramp up quickly and set yourself up for success, we recommend spending your first few months working from our Milan office, regardless of your long-term work location. It’s the best way to rapidly absorb our company culture and build trust with your new teammates. We’ll support you with generous travel and accommodation assistance. After that, you’re welcome to work from our offices in Milan or London, or remotely from approved countries—depending on what we agree at the offer stage.
If the role speaks to you and you’re excited to give your best, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now—we can’t wait to meet you.
