What You´ll Do
- You will be responsible for executing on the technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale, and help your team tie it together with critical, business-impacting projects.
- You will collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics to ensure technical sustainability, risks and trade-offs are well understood and managed.
- You will act as a force-multiplier for your team through your definition and advocacy of technical solutions and operational processes.
- You take ownership of your team´s operations and availability by ensuring you have the right monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing and alerting in place to support "keep the lights on" & on-call efforts.
- You will foster a culture of quality and ownership on your team by setting code review and design standards for your team, and advocating for them beyond your team through your writing and tech talks.
- You will help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance, and leading by example.
- On-Call Rotation - There would be an on-call rotation for this role as a requirement.

What We Look For
- You have an extensive track record of developing and deploying highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, Kubernetes.
- Have excellent troubleshooting skills on cloud and distributed systems.
- Extensive experience automating deployments using Kubernetes.
- You have experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality in a system through the definition of a technical and execution plan. You write high quality code that is easily understood and used by others.
- You thrive in ambiguity, and are comfortable moving from low level language idioms all the way to the architecture of large systems to understand how they work.

Base Pay Grade - M

Equity Grade - 4

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).

ESP base pay range per year: €80,000 - €110,000

You will be responsible for defining and performing tests for locomotive controls. This requires knowledge of the whole engineering process from requirements definition via concept creation, system design and software development to the testing and commissioning support.

• You review functional concepts and system requirements for software and hardware
• You design, develop and execute vehicle tests, Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test or Software-in-the-loop (SIL) for the TCMS software for locomotives, mainly for braking systems
• You focus your work on the reusability of work results in terms of product and technical platform strategies
• You are responsible for documentation of test specifications and results

EXPERIENCIA & CONOCIMIENTOS

Buscamos un perfil con 2-3 años de experiencia como DevOps Engineer, con especialización en despliegue continuo utilizando herramientas AWS (como CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy). Asimismo, deberá contar con experiencia previa como Software o Systems Engineer, idealmente desarrollando en Python + PySpark y trabajando en entornos de ciencia de datos en AWS.

As part of this project, you will be responsible for defining a test concept and specify, manage, execute and document tests with suitable tools and techniques, focusing on automation and agreed process standards. In addition, coordinate and monitor the defined test activities in terms of quality, deadlines and costs.

Responsibilities

- Implement the test strategy using standardized test methods and tools with a high focus on automation wherever possible
- Prepare and maintain test plans aligned to release strategy and calendar
- Provide and monitor the required test resources (personnel, methods, processes and tools)
- Analyze, test and evaluate user requirements, specifications and models in terms of testability
- Create test specifications based on a detailed technical analysis of both the functional and non-functional requirements (reliability, efficiency, usability, etc.)
- Set up the test environment and required test data
- Analyze the product risk to determine the test depth and identify residual risks
- Conduct and document tests in alignment with the specified test cases and identify, analyze, describe and isolate errors
- Provide test reports and evidence to key stakeholders
- Offer mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Requirements

- Strong computer science fundamentals with 6-7+ years of professional automation test engineering experience with Java and test automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber or Tosca
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Relevant higher education, professional background, certifications within engineering, computer science or computer engineering
- Solid Java coding skills
- Dynamic and agile mindset, being passionate about change
- Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous ways of working
- Able to work under pressure and manage a portfolio of tasks
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Fluent or Native English skills

Para este puesto, estamos buscando expertos/as en desarrollo .NET, que quieran un entorno estable en el que desarrollarse, con trayectoria y experiencia en:
- .NET MVC/WPF/ WS, .NET Framework (C#), .NET Core.
