As a Data Engineer in our new Data Products team, you will play a key role in shaping the quality and business value of our core data assets. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. Context and Mission: The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Earth Sciences department within the AI Factory initiative. The AI Factory accelerates adoption and development of AI across industry sectors, deploying AI-focused services including training, networking, and innovation support. The MareNostrum5 AI partition provides the computing backbone for these services. The selected candidate will support AI services related to climate change use cases, coordinate availability and integration of AI software on MareNostrum5, and ensure smooth support for the AI Factory user community.
Responsibilities
Support the documentation and curation of AI software employed in the AI Factory
Support the deployment and maintenance of AI software on the MareNostrum5 AI partition
Design, implement, and optimize machine learning pipelines for environmental-related applications
Collaborate with domain scientists and external users to develop AI solutions
Support users from the AI Factory in accessing and utilizing AI tools and services
Participate in collaborative development within the AI Factory consortium
Participate in technical reporting and scientific publications contributing to the documentation of the AI Factory software, with opportunities to be involved in academic publications and project reporting

Education
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
Essential Knowledge And Professional Experience

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based Startup in thea New Space sector, becoming the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things (IoT) universe under the 5G protocol.

YOUR MISSION
Responsible for providing technical support to IoT VAS companies in both lab and field environments, including occasional travel to the partner’s country when on-site assistance is required
Your Main Functions
- Provide hands-on technical support to Value-Added Service (VAS) companies integrating IoT NTN technology, both in the lab and during field deployments. Assist VAS partners with device setup, testing, and troubleshooting throughout their validation and onboarding phases.
- Travel to partner or pilot sites when necessary to support field activities and ensure successful integration.
- Guide VAS partners in the use of test environments, network access, and configuration of communication modules.
- Collect, analyze, and report test results to ensure proper system behavior and service performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal technical teams to resolve integration issues and improve partner experience.

Descripción
Responsabilidades Principales
Desarrollo y Gobernanza de Power BI
Diseñar, desarrollar y mantener informes interactivos, dashboards corporativos y cuadros de mando estratégicos en Power BI.
RLS/OLS, alineación con grupos de seguridad, Gestión de workspaces, permisos, auditoría.
Construir modelos de datos eficientes, escalables y bien documentados.
Implementar y optimizar medidas DAX complejas asegurando rendimiento, precisión y consistencia.
Gestionar datasets, incremental refresh, gateways y conexiones a múltiples orígenes.
Aplicar buenas prácticas de modelado (star schema, normalización, relaciones, granularidad, etc.).
Análisis Cuantitativo y Ciencia de Datos
Desarrollar análisis descriptivos, diagnósticos y predictivos que aporten valor al negocio.
Utilizar Python / R (si aplica) para procesamiento avanzado, machine learning o automatización de cargas.
Documentar metodologías, supuestos y resultados de forma clara para stakeholders no técnicos.
Data Management y Arquitectura
- Colaborar con Data Engineering para garantizar la calidad, disponibilidad y trazabilidad de datos.
- Participar en la definición de pipelines ETL/ELT y en la optimización de procesos de ingesta y transformación.
- Garantizar estándares de gobernanza, seguridad y cumplimiento de datos.
Requisitos Técnicos
Imprescindibles
Dominio avanzado de Power BI Desktop y Power BI Service.
Experiencia sólida en DAX (time intelligence, funciones avanzadas, optimización).
Experiencia en modelado de datos (tabular models, star schema, rolado, relaciones many-to-many, etc.).
Conocimiento sólido de SQL aplicado a la extracción y transformación de datos desde DWH/Lake, ERP y CRM, incluyendo buen dominio de modelado relacional (ER), normalización básica, claves primarias/foráneas y comprensión de granularidad y calidad de datos.
Conocimiento de Python o R
Deseables
- Herramientas de performance Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Performance Analyzer.
- Experiencia con (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn) u otros lenguajes analíticos.
- Conocimientos de Power Query (M).
- Familiaridad con Azure Data Platform (Synapse, Datafactory, Lakehouse, Fabric).
- Experiencia previa en entornos de alto volumen de datos o en sectores bajo regulación.

- Dominio en modelado tabular, esquemas estrella y relaciones complejas.
- Sólida base en SQL para extracción y transformación desde Data Warehouse, ERP y CRM.
- Valorable experiencia en Python o R y certificaciones en Power BI/Azure.( plataforma clout de Microsoft)
