Position Overview
The Cloud Engineering Manager provides strategic leadership and direction for Sanofi´s cloud infrastructure, operations, and enterprise integration initiatives across regional or portfolio-wide programs. This senior leadership role drives cloud transformation strategy and oversees multiple cloud engineering teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions that directly impact Group targets and business competitiveness. The position requires expert-level technical knowledge combined with strategic business acumen to lead organizational change, digital transformation initiatives, and complex hybrid cloud integration architectures that seamlessly connect cloud services with Sanofi´s existing IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Transformation
- Develop and execute multi-year cloud strategy and roadmaps aligned with Sanofi´s business objectives and digital transformation initiatives with emphasis on hybrid cloud integration and seamless connectivity across cloud and on-premises environments
- Drive organizational change management to accelerate cloud adoption across business units and regions
- Provide direction on cloud technology choices that enhance Sanofi´s competitive position
- Lead portfolio rationalization and modernization initiatives across multiple technical domains. Ensuring integration continuity and minimal disruption to existing systems
Technical Leadership & Innovation
- Direct implementation of enterprise-scale cloud solutions across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure)with robust design patterns
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and capabilities for cloud adoption at organizational level
- Drive innovation through emerging technologies (AI/ML, serverless, edge computing) to create business differentiation
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for transformative cloud technologies with potential enterprise-wide impact
- Oversee complex cloud migration programs involving mission-critical applications and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with retained on-premises systems and services
Organizational Management
- Lead multiple cloud engineering teams across 3 regions (Asia, Europe, America), typically managing 20+ direct and indirect reports
- Develop and implement succession planning and talent development strategies for cloud engineering organization, with focus on building integration expertise and hybrid cloud capabilities
- Manage substantial operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Establish organizational structures that optimize cloud delivery capabilities and operational excellence, including specialized integration teams and centers of excellence
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence across the organization
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Represent cloud engineering in enterprise architecture and technology governance forums
- Collaborate with regional and global IT leadership to ensure consistent cloud strategy execution
- Engage with external industry forums and analyst groups to influence cloud provider roadmaps
Risk Management & Compliance
- Collaborate with security teams to establish secure integration patterns
- Direct risk assessment and mitigation strategies for cloud operations at organizational level
- Ensure cloud implementations meet GxP, data privacy, and industry-specific compliance requirements
- Lead security incident response planning and execution for cloud environments
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master´s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience in cloud technologies and infrastructure management
- 7+ years in leadership positions with demonstrated experience managing multiple teams
- Experience managing substantial technology budgets and vendor relationships
Technical Knowledge
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their enterprise integration patterns
- Advanced understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Deep knowledge in cloud financial management, optimization, and FinOps practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise architecture and technology portfolio management
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical/life sciences industry technology requirements
Leadership Competencies
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technology strategies

Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a strong culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Manage team performance, career development, and hiring efforts.

Must-have Skills
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing an engineering team that has successfully delivered user-facing features and backend services.
- Messaging Platform Knowledge: Proven hands-on experience or in-depth knowledge of major customer engagement/messaging platforms such as Braze, Airship, or Sailthru.
- Cloud & Backend Proficiency: Strong practical experience designing and building scalable applications using Node.js and deploying and managing services within AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB).
- Delivery Technology Acumen: Strong technical understanding of the underlying technology and challenges associated with high-volume email deliverability, native mobile app push notifications, and SMS delivery.

Buscamos incorporar a nuestro equipo un/a Tech Lead que lidere el equipo técnico, ayude a escalar el producto y mejorar la arquitectura técnica del mismo. Un producto SaaS en producción con una arquitectura moderna en servidor central en NET Core y Vue.js .
¿Qué necesitas para encajar con el puesto?
-Formación de Grado Universitario en Informática, Ingeniería de Software o similares.
-Experiencia técnica consolidada de al menos 5 años como Tech Lead liderando decisiones técnicas y equipos en entornos .NET (C#). Es indispensable que hayas combinado el desarrollo software con la mentoría y gestión de desarrolladores. Se valorará muy positivamente la experiencia previa en software de gestión documental, ERPs o contabilidad.
-Dominio de metodologías ágiles (Srcum, Kanban, entre otras). Saber cuándo y cómo aplicarlas para maximizar el rendimiento del equipo.
-Habilidades de liderazgo y gestión: Se requieren dotes de comunicación, y experiencia en la gestión de equipo técnico para guiar, motivar y coordinar al mismo.
-Se valorará también positivamente la experiencia en el diseño de arquitecturas de software modernas (DDD, CQRS, Clean Architecture) y cultura DevOps (CI/CD, Docker), así como el contar con conocimientos en plataformas cloud como AWS y Azure.

Responsibilities
As our Engineering Manager you are responsible for creating and managing the engineering and installation projects in the Engineering department and to guarantee that health, safety, and environment variables are integrated into engineering management. You will also inform the teams and the organization about the specific scorecard.
Your main focus:
- Establish the base for the project management.
- Plant CAPEX control, prioritization and forecast.
- Establish and follow the procedures used for CAPEX prioritization.
- Create global engineering project practices and guidelines.
- Ensure that health, safety, and environment are integrated into engineering practices.
- Standard CQV procedures creation. Integrate them into the project procedures.
- Identify the possible synergies in terms of engineering management in the plant and propose methods to take advantage of them.
- Multidisciplinary problem-solving group creation, leading and participation. Use and transmit to the organization problem-solving techniques.
- Train technicians in project management established procedures.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT
You like to manage multidisciplinary projects and teams. As a/an experienced Engineering Manager, you are methodical, supportive and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:
- Engineering degree (Industrial, design or mechanical)
- Demonstrated experience in deep equipment technical know-how in all the processes at site. Experience in production is highly appreciated, related industries: Food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or chemical.
- Experience in Inventor and AutoCad, and other computer tools like MS Office.
- Vision of both bulk Manufacturing and Filling Operations, including processes, equipment, and utilities in the PU.
- Knowledge of the QA and GCM guidelines in manufacturing environment.
- Experience in industrialization processes for new formulas/products.
- Knowledge of RM & TQM basics.
- Familiarity in Financials such us investment analysis, projects cost control and actives management.
- Good command of English and Spanish languages.
