The field of organ-on-a-chip is rapidly expanding, marking it as a dynamic sector with significant growth opportunities. Each year, more researchers and biotechnology firms are harnessing this innovative technology to create advanced in vitro regulatory models.

Beonchip stands at the forefront of this movement, embodying innovation in the European biomedical tech scene. The year 2024 will see us embark on an ambitious research initiative aimed at producing state-of-the-art microfluidic devices for pharmaceutical testing. This project is a collaboration with over 30 tech companies. We're excited to invite a motivated and dynamic PhD student to pursue their thesis in our industry-centric setting. The student's research will be a key part of this European Research initiative. They will have the chance to work part-time at Beonchip and at the TME lab (Universidad de Zaragoza).

This new position offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team at Beonchip (Zaragoza, Spain) and make important contribution to develop new organ on chip models to reduce animal testing.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Master Degree in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering.
• High English level
• High Spanish level will be desirable
• Excellent communication skills; ability to develop, implement, and clearly communicate to team, management and collaborators
• Availability to travel
• Medium/high experience in 2D-3D design (Solid Edge).
• Desirable: Experience in 3D printing, protyping.
