PLD Space is an international space services company with in-house engineering and manufacturing. It is dedicated to transporting satellites and humans into space, vertically integrating engineering, testing, manufacturing and operations of its reusable and sustainable rockets. Headquartered in Elche (Spain) and founded in 2011 by Raúl Torres and Raúl Verdú, PLD Space has established itself as a global benchmark in the space launcher sector. Its MIURA family of launchers and its LINCE manned capsule position the company as a leader in European technological sovereignty in space transportation, covering the full range of space missions.

With a team of more than 280 employees and 170 million in total funding, PLD Space also has the largest private test benches in Europe, located in Teruel (Spain), and operates two launch bases: El Arenosillo, in Huelva (Spain); and the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), in Kourou (French Guiana). In total, it has more than 188,000m2 of industrial infrastructures under management.

Mission

As a Junior Sales & Customers team member, your primary mission within the Business Development Division will be to support the sales opportunity cycle – from lead generation to initial deal discussions. You will assist in ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process, supporting senior team members and contributing to the success of the customer’s mission.


Responsibilities

  • As a Junior Sales & Customers team member, your main responsibilities within the area will be to:
  • Report to the Sales & Customers Manager.
  • Support the Sales & Customers department in the commercialization of the MIURA family of launcher services.
  • Assist in contract preparation and ensure alignment with company policies and objectives under supervision.
  • Participate in identifying new business opportunities and market research activities.
  • Support customer relationship management by tracking customer needs and aligning them with the company’s capabilities.
  • Assist in drafting and delivering proposals for launch services.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Project Management, Mission Analysis, etc.) to support project delivery.
  • Organize and attend customer visits and meetings, providing follow-up reports.
  • Support company representation at relevant industry events (fairs, congresses, workshops).
  • Use company tools (e.g., CRM, databases) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Help develop and maintain Sales & Customers department documentation (e.g., procedures, templates, user guides).
  • Contribute to the preparation of sales and marketing materials (e.g., brochures, presentations).
  • Conduct basic market intelligence activities and contribute to competitor and trend analysis.
  • Provide general support to other Business Development areas and company teams as needed.
  • Contribute in achieving the team’s KPIs and OKRs by supporting relevant activities and tasks.


Necessary Requirements

For this position of Junior Sales & Customers, the main requirements are:

Experience and background:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Interest in the Space sector.
  • Strong motivation to develop a career in commercial launch services.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.

Technical and language skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Other skills and competences:

  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Sales and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Basic analytical skills and interest in market research.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Valid car driving license.



Desired Requirements

  • In addition, the following requirements would be desirable:
  • Knowledge or educational background related to launchers or the space sector.
  • Understanding of Satellites and payloads accommodations on launchers is a plus.
  • Previous exposure to B2B sales, Business Development, or internships in similar fields is valued.
  • Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and databases is an advantage.
  • Other languages such as French and/or German are highly valued.
