In Solutions & Decisions, we are looking for a Global Contract Buyer for APPLUS, a leading global services company located in Bellaterra (BCN).
Mission:
Optimize management of contractors at a global level, ensuring that these suppliers not only meet quality and efficiency standards but are also fully aligned with the company's vision and values.
Contractors represent Applus+ in client interactions, making it essential that they understand and work in alignment with the company’s operational and business objectives. This role is critical in ensuring a consistent and reliable client experience, backed by standardized suppliers, processes, and a transparent cost model. Leads the global strategy for purchasing and managing contractors, focusing on standardizing methodologies, processes, and cost models.
This position is essential in establishing a global structure of reliable providers who represent Applus+ effectively to clients. Role requires close collaboration with operations, quality, finance, and regional leaders to implement global processes and ensure excellence in client service. Contribute to develop Make or Buy process and TCO decisions. To manage relationships with various stakeholders across divisions while integrating business needs and proposing competitive value-added solutions
Responsibilities:
Development and Standardization of Global Methodology and Processes:
● Define, implement, and standardize methodologies and processes for managing contractors, ensuring consistent quality of service.
● Create and maintain transparent and competitive cost models and pricing structures, facilitating comparisons and resource optimization.
● Establish processes for cataloging providers and services, enabling an agile selection aligned with Applus+ standards.
Strategic Category Management and Contractor Selection:
● Develop a category strategy to optimize contractor performance, identifying and classifying providers who guarantee high-level service.
● Conduct ongoing analysis of the contractor and supplier market, anticipating trends and potential areas for improvement.
● Lead RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) processes, evaluating providers based on quality, cost, and alignment with Applus+ values.
Alignment and Stakeholder Relationship Management (Internal and External):
● Ensure continuous collaboration with internal stakeholders (operations, quality, finance, and compliance) to align category objectives with company goals.
● Maintain active and transparent communication with contractors, reinforcing alignment with service standards and client experience expectations.
● Conduct regular reviews with key stakeholders to optimize agreements and adapt them to evolving business needs.
Contract Implementation and Compliance Monitoring:
● Design, negotiate, and implement robust contracts that ensure compliance with Applus+ standards and consistency in service delivery.
● Monitor contractors’ compliance through regular audits, evaluating their performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
● Implement a process of continuous improvement to adjust and update contractual terms as business needs and regulatory requirements evolve.
Stakeholder Engagement:
● Work closely with engineering, finance, operations, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budget constraints.
● Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities, category strategies, and market developments.
Cost Optimization and Strategic Financial Analysis:
● Apply detailed, structured financial analysis to optimize costs, reducing operational expenses without compromising service quality.
● Assess and monitor costs related to the contractor category, identifying savings opportunities through provider consolidation and rate optimization.
● Regularly develop and update performance financial reports to facilitate strategic decision-making by senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
● Implement best practices in procurement processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement function.
● Keep abreast of industry best practices and innovations in Contractors management.
Requirements:
● At least 5 years in a similar position.
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related fields; a postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA is preferred.
● Specialized in Procurement in Services, engineering international environment, facility management experience, SAP ARIBA experience.
● Excellent spoken and written English (C1)

Responsibilities
As our Global Category Buyer External Manufacturing - Small Molecules, you'll be at the forefront of our external manufacturing procurement, driving value and efficiency while building strong relationships with our Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs). You'll be responsible for:
Main responsibilities
- Lead sourcing of goods and services within External manufacturing & Supply activities
- Execute and implement contracts/agreements in the perimeter with The CDMO’s (CDMO: Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations)
- Develop, implement, and optimize sourcing strategies in support of Internal stakeholder, based on supplier, technology and market intelligence respecting global category management guidance
- Conduct supplier and technology market analysis with specific benchmarking reviews as required
- Contribute to the Sanofi Procurement sourcing team and Business Partners (lead specifiers) to build innovative category and/or sub-category strategies that have measurable benefit for Sanofi
- Anticipate and consolidate all business needs to develop action plans, execute negotiations and facilitate implementation specific to category and/or sub-category
- Ensure good execution of any category sourcing plan in line with global strategy and regional/country needs
- Deliver world class total savings objectives
- Ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality) at his/her perimeter
- As per mandate of management, manage Business Reviews with identified key suppliers
- Experience: Procurement experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with exposure to Drug Product (5 years minimum )
- Negotiation Prowess: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms and agreements
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors
- Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of financial practices and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Technical skills: Preferred demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes and procedures and legal aspects including service level agreements, KPIs’
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilizing data analysis tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making and reporting
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in French is a significant plus

Funciones:
- Gestionar las operaciones de merchandising, incluyendo negociaciones de licencias, logística y coordinación con los mercados.
- Supervisar las operaciones de los productos existentes en colaboración con el almacén central, gestionando el catálogo y contactando a proveedores.
- Desarrollar nuevas colecciones en colaboración con proveedores existentes, alineando los diseños con el departamento de diseño y negociando aspectos contractuales como cantidades, precios y royalties.

Formarás parte de una empresa referente en Terrassa dedicada al sector farmacéutico como Comprador/a en el Mercado Asiático.
Tu responsabilidad será diseñar y ejecutar la mejor estrategia de suministro, desarrollando el negocio con los/las mejores proveedores/as, optimizando el coste y nivel de servicio.
Entre tus funciones se encuentran:
-Realizarás la mejora y mantenimiento del portfolio de proveedores/as a través de la prospección de nuevos proveedores/as y establecimiento de planes de mejora con los/las proveedores/as existentes
-Responsable de la negociación del coste de producto (Costed landed en cooperativas).
-Realizarás la propuesta de optimización de coste/servicio
-Búsqueda de proveedores/as alternativos para las distintas categorías de productos del portfolio
-Prospección y selección de los/las proveedores/as para los nuevos productos, colaborando con marketing para cumplir lanzamientos a tiempo y en coste.
-Responsable de actualizar el/la maestro/a de compras y fichas de proveedor/a y producto
-Creación y seguimiento de campañas clave de la compañía: Navidad y Solares
-Asistencia a ferias, trabajar sobre el plan de compras marcado anualmente

¿Qué ofrecemos?
Tu contrato será indefinido directamente en la plantilla de la empresa
Tu horario será de lunes a jueves de 8h a 17h o de 9h a 18h y los viernes de 7h a 14h o de 8h a 15h, en verano intensivo de lunes a viernes.
Tu salario será inicial de 35.000€ brutos anuales con revisiones anuales y plan de carrera
