We are Applus+ Laboratories, the division of the Applus+ Group that provides testing, certification, and product development engineering services.

The Innovation Team works transversally within the whole organization to create continuous value for our customers. Our mission is to improve customer experience and processes while developing new products, services, and solutions, all with a strong user-centric focus.

We are looking for a Strategist – Design Researcher – Service Designer trainee to join our Innovation team and contribute to the new product and services’ design.

What you will do

You will be working collaboratively in a team that will guide and support you in the following activities:

• Understand the business needs, and map the existing service ecosystems and processes
• Organize and participate in user interviews, analysing the information and synthetizing it
• Plan and conduct workshops for idea generation
• Generate ideas, and propose solutions
• Participate actively in the conceptualization and prototyping
• Plan and conduct the user tests, summarizing the results in a structured report
• Support the implementation of the global innovation process and current and new initiatives

Requirements

• Solid knowledge in innovation, design research and service design, and methodologies such as design thinking, design sprints, among others
• High skills in the craft to create artifacts and maps such as archetypes, user journeys and service blueprints
• Structured and organized mindset to plan, conduct, realise user research, and deliver high quality reports
• Experience / ability to facilitate workshops
• Hands-on experience working with collaborative tools like Miro, Mural or FigJam and familiar with Figma
• Ability to share, present and expose in front of a diverse and multicultural team

Education

• Degree in Design and Innovation, Product and Service Design
• A master’s degree in Product and Service Design, User Experience and Interaction Design (UX/UI), Research for Design and Innovation, Innovation and Design Thinking, is an advantage

Languages

• Fluent in Spanish and English
