Are you passionate about neuroscience, molecular biology, and preclinical research? Want to contribute to the fight against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s?

CIRCE Scientific, in collaboration with Creatio (University of Barcelona), is looking for a Research Technician (Group III) to join the exciting POLYPH-BRAIN project, funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The goal? Develop next-gen polyphenol-based therapies to tackle neurodegeneration.

🧠 Main Tasks

• Toxicology studies of polyphenolic compounds.
• In vitro toxicology studies of polyphenolic compounds.
• Work on mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease, at the final stage of the project, to evaluate whether these polyphenols are beneficial and correct some phenotypic aspects of the model.

📅 Start date: June 1, 2025

💼 Contract duration: 2 years

📍 Location: Barcelona

💰 Gross salary: €24,700/year

Requirements

• Higher vocational training (FP2), intermediate vocational training degree.
• Certificate for animal handling with accreditation for the functions: Animal care, animal euthanasia, and procedure performance.
• If you have knowledge and prior experience in animal models, histology, molecular biology, and cell culture—and a passion for impactful science—this could be your next big step.
