JOIN THE TEAM
As part of our Secure Platform product, you will operate a high-security infrastructure for BASF´s most critical infrastructure services. The area of responsibility covers the entire lifecycle of the infrastructure, including consulting, design and architecture, projects, construction, and further development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As part of a team of specialists, you will be working within the VMware and Windows service line / infrastructure.
- Provide capability to install, configure, and manage a highly available and scalable VMware/virtualization infrastructure.
- Provision virtual machines and patches to the software and hardware hosting infrastructure.
- Maintain and restore VM "backups" and snapshots.
- You support the analysis and resolution of complex incidents and independently drive improvement measures.
- You are responsible for the continuous further development of the operational and security measures used.
- You are responsible for the hardening and operation of the operating systems used.

QUALIFICATIONS
- You have successfully completed your technical education with a focus on computer science and have acquired several years of professional experience in IT
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in enterprise-class datacenter environments
- You can prove your distinctive knowledge in IT security through practical experience and ideally corresponding certifications
- You have successfully completed your technical education with a focus on computer science and have acquired several years of professional experience in the IT environment, especially in the operation of server platforms in the enterprise environment.
- Very good spoken and written English proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills and high competence to influence the team to drive for results
- Experiencing Agile way of working or agile implementation approach

- In the area of virtualization software, you can apply your sound knowledge (e.g. in the programs vSphere and vCenter) in an exciting work environment.
- You are familiar with vSAN and Dell EMC VxRail technology and have several years of professional experience.
- You are professionally skilled with the VEEAM AVAILABILITY SUITE.
- Furthermore, you have experience with authentication & authorization infrastructure within Windows systems and are familiar with access and authorization management.

Development and Support (DevOps) for S/4 HANA conversion related Integration Requirements in Product Family Supply Chain Planning & Visibility
• Technical & Integration Support during conversion of our SAP ERP System to S/4 HANA
• Focus area will be interfaces- & integration-related tasks for supply chain planning satellite systems deriving from the conversion project

RESPONSIBILITIES
- You understand the current integration implementations of SCM developments within SAP APO, OMP, SAP IBP, SAP BW and SAP ERP by starting your skill-up in one of these squads
- Understanding integration implications of architectural deviations between S/4 HANA and as-is system landscape
- You will hands-on support the technical migration of the existing integration landscape during the core conversion of our SAP ERP system

JOIN THE TEAM
As part of BASF´s Data & AI Powerhouse, we as Data Transparency team provide an enterprise-wide Data Catalog solution as single-point of truth to share knowledge about data and to find and access relevant documented data in an efficient, convenient, and compliant way. Our goal is to accelerate business decisions and processes by enabling data citizens to connect data with insights.
As part of an agile team, you will independently drive the development of the Data Catalog to bring transparency into the BASF Data Landscape and enable transfer of metadata across systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will develop new integration processes to populate the Data Catalog with metadata, using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Flows and Databricks
- You will be responsible for both the design and end-to-end implementation of individual microservices and RESTful APIs as well as ensuring their smooth operation
- You will ensure code quality by defining coding conventions and development guidelines, ensuring high test coverage
- You will contribute to build a stable and secure infrastructure and develop CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks
- Within the team, you will use your experience to support a continuous exchange of knowledge and ensure effective collaboration with our internal stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor´s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable technical education.
- Minimum of 3+ years of working experience in backend software development.
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing and consuming of web services - RESTful APIs, ideally using frameworks like Django.
- Experience in implementing and operating containerized microservices (using docker) in cloud environments.
- Experience with data transformation pipelines (ETL), ideally using Azure Data Factory, Data Flows, ADLS, and Databricks.
- Experience in implementing BPMN workflows is a plus.
- High interest in technical innovation and continuous improvement of existing systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively translating sophisticated concepts into easily-to-understand language.
- Agile mindset, proactive approach, good self-organization and teamwork in a remote environment, complemented by a strong customer focus.

We are the team Production Artificial Intelligence - Advanced Data Analytics and provide BASF wide solutions for multiple application areas within Production. We cover the entire model lifecycle from development, training, over deployment to operation. In this context, you will be acting as a driving force in our interdisciplinary team creating innovative solutions with our internal business partner.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- You will support AI projects from ideation, prototypes until commissioning and support during runtime.
- You will actively identify needs of our internal colleagues and translate them into software specifications and manage and actively drive the development.
- You will develop new concepts, models and solutions applying state-of-the-art data science concepts and work with cutting edge frameworks and technologies and drive solutions to production readiness.
- You will be responsible for upscaling and managing services globally e.g., Condition Monitoring, Computer Vision, Generative AI.
- You will manage service adjustments smoothly in case of software and solution updates as well as the expectations of business partners for running, maintaining, and reviewing of our services at BASF
WHAT WE EXPECT
- You have a Master or PhD in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, natural sciences, or information technology with a focus on data driven applications.
- You already gained working knowledge in the development of complex data science software solutions preferably cloud-based applications.
- You have good knowledge in machine learning with Python and (graph-)databases and you are experienced in building solutions with cloud technology (Microsoft Azure).
- You are very familiar with technologies around Computer Vision, Generative AI and analytics to process sensor / time-series data.
- Ideally you have working experience in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and DevOps concepts and working with P&IDs.
- Your profile is completed by your creative and motivated working style with a strong focus on innovation and customers as well as your excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German which define you as an effective team player
