RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide end users a tool portfolio within an approved and efficiently supported architecture so they can deploy and design their own reports and do analytics.
- Empower the Divisions, Corporate Centers, Service units, and citizen developers at BASF to connect to and visualize data using Power BI or Tableau and to make use of various data preparation tools available such as Alteryx and Xtract Universal to aid in the process of preparing, structuring, and enriching raw data.
- Define rules, guidelines & recommendations together with Business, Provisioning of Self-Service BI tools/environment, Governance (licenses, security, sustainable service, etc.), Maintenance (e.g., infrastructure), and Enablement of users.
OUR MAIN REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor´s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics.
- Sophisticated experience in automation and scripting.
- Interest in the latest developments in digitalization.
- Advanced communication skills (e.g., obtained through trainer roles).
- Experience with BI Tools (PowerBI, Tableau) or Data Transformation Tools (i.e., Alteryx, Xtract Universal).

JOIN THE TEAM
We are currently seeking a talented DevOps Engineer (Monitoring and Observability) to join our highly dynamic and collaborative team at BASF´s Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative solutions and processes to support our Risk and Vulnerability Management solutions. Additionally, you will perform analysis and provide technical expertise to support the successful completion of engineering tasks. As part of the global IT Solutions and Data Delivery team, you will contribute to creating and continuously improving our digital solution for the division. Your role as a DevOps engineer specializing in Risk and Vulnerability Management is crucial in expanding our cyber security capabilities to support BASF AP´s digital products on a global scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will design and develop IaC components that will automate integrations for our Digital Products Portfolio.
- You will implement an end-to-end solution that will bring all the issues and vulnerabilities detected by the tool to the product teams through their issue tracking systems, across AWS and Azure environments to ensure continuous security monitoring and vulnerability detection.
- You will collaborate closely with Digital Product Delivery teams to implement risk and vulnerability management capabilities.
- With your valuable feedback and recommendations, you contribute to improve and define the implementation of a risk and vulnerability management capabilities across the Digital Products Portfolio.
- You will provide feedback to the Digital Product Delivery teams and provide recommendations for corrective approaches for any issues identified by the tool, alongside with our Cyber Security Squad.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to produce formal documentation is also essential for this role.

REQUIREMENTS
- University degree, e.g. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
- More than 3+ years leading DevOps processes and implementations on large teams
- Experience consuming and understanding APIs to build multisystem integrations and automated solutions
- Experience in Risk and Vulnerability management tools (Lacework, Wiz, CrowdStrike, or similar)
- Experience in CI/CD implementation and tools (OpenShift, Gitlab, Azure DevOps)

In the Product Family Analytics & AI in the segment Digitalization of R&D and Data Science of BASF, you will be part of the team Knowledge Systems, which manages BASF´s central knowledge management platform containing large numbers of patents, scientific literature and internal documents. - Write efficient and robust Java and Python code in our microservice architecture that scales on huge amounts of data.

In Manufacturing Integration and Management, we are globally responsible for the Production and Filling processes and their implementations in the SAP landscape of BASF. Furthermore, we connect underlying commercial and proprietary Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). In addition, we provide our own in-house MES solution. The corresponding end-to-end solutions are rolled out to our internal business partners globally in corresponding projects.
