We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our Maps Analytics team in Madrid! As a Data Science Intern, you will immerse yourself in the data world, collecting, analyzing, and transforming data to help us upgrade our maps for our end-customers!

passionate about artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, and analytic methods, applying machine learning models to industry problems. You will be part of agile unit and will be collaborating with engineers, data engineers, map and location experts and fellow data scientists.
We look for people who are curious, innovative, out of the box thinker, loves taking risk and work to make system better every day.
What You'll Do
- You will help us collect large amounts of unruly (spatial) data and transform it into a more usable format
- You will solve business-related problems using data-driven techniques
- You will help us to stay on top of analytical techniques such as machine learning, deep learning, and text analytics
- You will identify patterns in data, as well as spotting trends that can help improving the business’s bottom line
- You will communicate and collaborate with both Software Engineers and with the Maps Operations Team globally.

- Work in a mostly-remote and flexible way that will allow you find the perfect work-life balance
- You are enrolled in a Master’s degree in data science, Big Data or any other related field
- You are either an EU citizen OR are enrolled in a Spanish university
- You are fluent in English
- You have programming experience with Python, R and SQL
- You have experience in creating statistical and predictive models using machine learning
- You have experience with data visualization (storytelling) (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
- Being familiar with Microsoft cloud computing (Azure & Databricks) or any other cloud experience is a plus!

We are the Map Visualization Product Unit. We develop map rendering technology that can be integrated into navigation systems and location-based applications, providing our technology to our customers in the form of cloud-based APIs and SDKs.
