Role Overview

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (Founding France Team Member).

We are looking for a versatile and highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will combine strong technical abilities with excellent communication skills, working directly with customers to ensure they maximize the value of HappyRobot’s AI platform. You will be involved in onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support, while also contributing to product development and innovation.

What You’ll Do

Customer-Facing Engineering – Work closely with customers from onboarding to ongoing usage, helping them integrate and optimize our AI solutions.
Technical Development – Build new features, MVPs, and scalable solutions that directly impact customer outcomes.
Full-Stack Development – Utilize React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python to develop robust applications and tools.
AI/ML Applications – Design, implement, and iterate on AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompting, tuning of voices, and transcribers to optimize use cases.
Integration & APIs – Manage APIs and integrations with third-party systems to ensure seamless functionality for customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Iterative Problem-Solving – Continuously iterate and improve AI solutions based on customer feedback and evolving requirements.
Project Management – Prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality results.

Must Have

Native or fluent French speaker (C1/C2 level) — essential for direct communication with French-speaking customers.
Strong full-stack experience: React, TypeScript, Node.js.
Hands-on proficiency in Python.

Senior Engineering Manager, Grafana Frontend

The Opportunity

Grafana is an open-source observability product and a platform that teams and plugin developers build on. The Frontend group shapes its user experience (from dashboards and visualisation to navigation, search and sharing) and the foundations that support engineering teams and community contributors across the Grafana ecosystem.

As Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads, owning their performance, delivery and customer outcomes. Frontend Platform enables teams to build reliable, high-quality experiences; Navigation helps users find and organise resources and move confidently through Grafana.

You’ll develop senior engineers, partner with Product and Design, and improve how teams work, including through AI and automation. We use Cloud-first rollout and experimentation to learn quickly, bringing relevant improvements to OSS and Enterprise.

AI Notice: We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. What You’ll Be Doing

Be accountable for the performance of two distributed engineering squads: set clear expectations, delegate effectively, coach and develop each team member, give timely feedback, address performance gaps and build a culture of trust and accountability.
Own hiring and team planning across both squads, aligning team capacity and skills with product priorities and longer-term needs.
Lead discovery with your squads: engage directly with customers, community members and internal users, combine their feedback with research and usage evidence, and use those insights to shape roadmaps and priorities.
Partner with Product, Design and engineering leaders to set priorities, resolve dependencies and make trade-offs between customer needs, long-term investments and operational demands.
Own delivery across both squads from discovery through rollout and measurement: set milestones, surface risks early and intervene when commitments are at risk.
Use AI regularly in your management work to synthesise research and feedback, inform roadmap and resourcing decisions, and streamline coordination, reporting and follow-through.
Improve how the squads plan, make decisions and deliver. Lead the adoption of AI and automation across engineering and operational workflows, evaluating their impact on delivery speed, quality and time spent on repetitive work.
Set engineering direction with senior engineers for the frontend foundations owned by your squads, including developer experience, accessibility, architecture, tooling, reliability and multitenant capabilities.
Set engineering direction for navigation, search and resource organisation, including where AI-assisted discovery can help users find what they need.
Set and uphold engineering standards for quality, security and operability, including how teams evaluate and validate AI-assisted work.
Lead improvements across Grafana and R&D that increase engineering productivity and improve business outcomes.
Participate in the engineering management on-call rota, coordinate responses and drive improvements that reduce recurring disruption. Regularly use Grafana’s AI capabilities for observability, incident investigation and management, bringing that experience into product feedback and roadmap decisions.

Compensation & Rewards

In Spain, the Base compensation range for this role is EUR 106,680 - EUR 128,016. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process.

Da forma a la cara visible de una plataforma agéntica que está redefiniendo el desarrollo de software.

En el Área Corporativa de Tecnología, equipo de Reef Lab, buscamos a alguien con dominio absoluto de Angular y una visión de conjunto de cómo debe construirse un frontend robusto, escalable y mantenible, sin dejar de disfrutar programando cada día. La interfaz de esta plataforma tiene que estar a la altura de lo que hay detrás: agentes de IA cubriendo todo el ciclo de vida del desarrollo de software.

¿Qué es exactamente esta plataforma? Es un producto propio de Mapfre que cubre de extremo a extremo el ciclo de vida del desarrollo de software: agentes de IA especializados ayudan a definir y completar los requisitos de un proyecto, generan y revisan código, construyen interfaces y ejecutan el testing de forma automática. El objetivo es acelerar cada una de esas fases apoyándose en agentes de IA, y convertirse en el estándar interno de Mapfre para desarrollar software asistido por IA.

En este rol no solo construirás la interfaz de la propia plataforma: también definirás las directrices técnicas bajo las que los agentes de IA generan frontales para otros proyectos, y darás soporte técnico a los equipos de los distintos países que utilicen esos proyectos.

Esta plataforma no se queda en un único mercado: está pensada para desplegarse en todos los países en los que Mapfre tiene presencia. Quien se incorpore formará parte de un proyecto con verdadero alcance internacional, con impacto directo en equipos y usuarios de múltiples geografías, y con la proyección profesional que eso conlleva.

¿Qué podrás hacer con nosotros?

Definir la estructura, patrones y estándares del frontend de la plataforma en Angular.
Desarrollar interfaces complejas que expongan de forma clara el trabajo de los agentes de IA a lo largo del ciclo de vida del software.
Tomar decisiones técnicas sobre la evolución del frontend, manteniéndote implicado en el desarrollo activo del código.
Colaborar estrechamente con los perfiles de producto y backend para garantizar una experiencia coherente de principio a fin.
Velar por el rendimiento, la accesibilidad y la calidad del código en toda la capa de presentación.
Establecer las guías de diseño técnico del frontend (estructura de módulos, gestión de estado, convenciones) que seguirá el resto del equipo.
Auditar y elevar el nivel técnico del código Angular existente, participando en revisiones de código de otros desarrolladores.
Dar directrices técnicas a los agentes de IA para que construyan frontales conforme a los estándares definidos y ayudar a construir la propia plataforma que los orquesta.
Dar soporte técnico a los equipos de los distintos países que utilicen los proyectos desplegados a través de la plataforma.

¿Qué estamos buscando?

Mínimo 10 años de experiencia en desarrollo frontend, trabajando de forma intensiva con Angular en proyectos productivos de gran escala.
Experiencia demostrada en más de 10 proyectos de aplicaciones complejas donde se haya definido desde cero el diseño técnico del frontend (estructura de módulos, gestión de estado, patrones de comunicación con backend).
Dominio experto y contrastable de TypeScript y del ecosistema Angular (RxJS, NgRx o similar, formularios reactivos, lazy loading).
Trayectoria demostrable tomando decisiones técnicas de alto nivel sobre el diseño del frontend, manteniéndote a la vez activo en el desarrollo diario, no solo en tareas de diseño o revisión.
Fuerte experiencia usando agentes de IA en la construcción de frontales, así como desarrollando con agentes de desarrollo tipo Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode u OpenHands.
Conocimiento amplio del ecosistema de soluciones UI/UX (sistemas de diseño, librerías de componentes, herramientas como Figma) y de cómo trasladarlo a un frontal Angular real.
Experiencia con testing de frontend (Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, Playwright o similares) en proyectos productivos.
Vocación clara de seguir programando de forma activa: buscamos a alguien con visión de conjunto que quiera seguir con las manos en el código, no solo supervisando.
Experiencia con metodología Spec Driven Development (SDD).

Adicionalmente, valoraremos:

Experiencia en React.
Experiencia de al menos 2 años en el sector seguros o en aplicaciones corporativas de gran escala.

Nivel de inglés C1, con capacidad para colaborar en proyectos y equipos internacionales.
Experiencia trabajando en equipos multidisciplinares y con stakeholders de distintos niveles.
Actitud proactiva y fuerte orientación a la resolución de problemas.
Habilidades de comunicación, con capacidad de adaptar el mensaje a públicos técnicos y no técnicos.
Curiosidad tecnológica genuina y capacidad de aprendizaje continuo.
