The Opportunity

ESW has embarked on our biggest technical program of our history and are looking for someone to be at the core of the major transformation moving from monolith platforms to a modern, event-driven, micro-service architecture on the Microsoft Azure cloud (leveraging CosmosDB and JSON designed Events).

Data is at the center of our thinking and with this role comes a huge opportunity for someone that is looking to advance their data career. Someone that has experience understanding large, complex data platforms/models and is used to having to identify the right stakeholders to get an understanding of what feeds that data, what consumes it and is comfortable with a toolbox of how best to then document the data lineage, to support the future state of our architecture.

Working in our GCP focused data, but closely with Architecture, you will be able to write and understand complex T-SQL Statements (our monolith is a SQL Server platform). You will understand key concepts like: Data Modelling, Data Lineage and System Integrations (and impact of data). Ideally you will understand APIs (and be able to test them via Postman) to support understanding integrations in and out of our data platforms.

Critical to this role is the ability to show great consultative skills, dealing with senior and technical stakeholders whilst being used to working for large periods of time in analysis and design. The right candidate is dynamic, wants to progress their career (lots of opportunities to move to BI, Engineering or Architecture) and happy to roll their sleeves up to deliver the most important initiative ESW has ever embarked upon!

While frequent travel is not expected, there will be required visits to our sites in the US, Europe and Worldwide; mainly focused in Madrid, Dublin and New York.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and document the data lineage of monolith platform databases.
• Become the domain expert on how data is used, its origins, and its business linkage to key tables/fields.
• Ensure program deliverables and deadlines are met.
• Identify and call out blockers, issues, and risks to the program team and line management.
• Handle relationships with senior product, business, and technical collaborators.
• Develop a deep understanding of ESW enterprise data.
• Provide insights into the broader implications of data usage and migration.
• Produce high-quality documentation, such as data lineage reports, data models, and technical reports.
• Tailor deliverables to meet the expectations of specific stakeholders and program requirements.
• Promote the importance of data quality, governance, and ownership, acting as a data advocate across the business.
• Identify and map critical data dependencies across services, applications, and downstream systems.
• Ensure a smooth migration process with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with QA teams to define benchmarks for data quality.
• Conduct validation checks to ensure data integrity before and after migration.
• Bridge gaps between development, architecture, and business teams.
• Evaluate and document potential impacts of data migration on existing processes, tools, and reporting systems.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with these changes.
• Partner with developers and architects to define event schemas.
• Ensure backward compatibility between legacy and modern systems.
• Identify and recommend tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance data analysis, modelling, and documentation processes.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency with SQL Server Profiler or equivalent and advanced T-SQL skills to query and interrogate complex databases effectively.
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines to understand current data flows.
• Familiarity with the basic concepts of event sourcing and stream processing.
• Basic skills with Postman for debugging, testing, and mocking API integrations
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Looker, or Azure Data Studio for creating accessible data models and lineage reports.
• Ability to generate visuals tailored to business stakeholders.
• Expertise in reading, understanding, and building JSON and AVRO data models.
• Basic knowledge of cloud data services, with an emphasis on Azure CosmosDB or similar services.
• Retail Industry Experience is a plus.
• Legacy System Migration Expertise is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to translate technical insights into business-friendly language.
• Conflict Resolution: Skilled at navigating competing stakeholder priorities and driving consensus.

We are seeking a quality and experienced DBA Production — infrastructure and applicative. The DBA will be responsible for all DB aspects in the production environment.

*What You´ll Do*

* Performs performance tuning, Query optimization, database installations, configurations, updates, backups and monitoring.
* Provide support for multiple environments — development, test and production.
* Anticipates, mitigates, identifies, responds and resolves problems affecting database performance, efficiency, and availability.

📌 Buscamos un/una Desarrollador/ra y Mantenimiento para gestionar la actividad en un entorno Core de cliente. El rol implica liderazgo técnico en un equipo de 3 personas y la coordinación de tareas en un entorno híbrido.

🏡 Ubicación: Híbrido, Madrid (60% presencial – 3 días a la semana en las instalaciones del cliente).

🎯 Responsabilidades:
• Coordinación y supervisión del equipo de desarrollo y mantenimiento.
• Desarrollo y optimización en AS400, C, C# y SQL Server.
• Gestión de bases de datos IBM DB2 y procedimientos almacenados.
• Implementación y soporte en arquitectura cliente/servidor (Ej: Visual Basic).
• Uso de herramientas como Test Link y JIRA para seguimiento de tareas.
• Colaboración con equipos internos para garantizar el éxito del proyecto.

📚 Requisitos:
• Experiencia mínima: 2-3 años en desarrollo de software.
• Formación: Ingeniería o similar.

📚 Conocimientos imprescindibles:
• Programación en C, C++ y C#.
• Manejo de bases de datos SQL Server e IBM DB2.
• Experiencia en entornos AS400.
• Desarrollo en entornos cliente/servidor (Visual Basic).

Python TSQL Azure Angular REST TypeScript SQL Server

IGNIS es una empresa joven enfocada en energías renovables en un proceso de fuerte crecimiento. Actualmente, nos encontramos en un proceso de consolidación, expansión internacional y ampliación de nuestros negocios.

Debido a este crecimiento, estamos buscando incorporar un perfil Fullstack para formar parte de nuestro equipo de IT, dando soporte directo a nuestros compañeros de Backoffice.

¿Qué funciones desarrollarás con nosotros?

• Implementar proyectos definidos para el área de Backoffice, asegurando su integración con los sistemas existentes
• Analizar y desarrollar nuevas funcionalidades para automatizar procesos del área
• Dar soporte al equipo de IT en desarrollos secundarios, comprendiendo y mejorando la relación entre Backoffice y otros departamentos a través del software
• Colaborar en la implementación de soluciones en el portal de consumidores dedicadas a Backoffice
• Automatizar procesos de consultas de información y mejorar la eficiencia operativa

¿Cuáles son los requisitos?

• Formación en programación o sistemas (grado superior o grado universitario)
• Experiencia en tecnologías backend: Python
• Conocimientos en bases de datos (SQL Server)
• Experiencia en integración de APIs REST
• Desarrollo en tecnologías frontend: Angular v16 o superior (TypeScript)

Se valorará contar con conocimientos en Azure, experiencia en infraestructuras, redes y seguridad, así como un buen entendimiento del sector eléctrico, especialmente en comercialización.

Sobre todo, estamos en busca de una persona con capacidad de trabajo en equipo, buena comunicación y visión técnica/funcional para la gestión de procesos.
