The role

This role will be responsible for processing, analysing, researching, validating, and supporting tasks related to the Strada Assist ticketing tool for the client’s employees, in accordance with the client’s service level agreements (SLAs). It also includes the support needed for the modules of Strada Access and Strada Core.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support: Provide in-house technical support for Strada Assist, Strada Access and Strada Core.

Analyse, prioritize, and resolve faults to completion.

Resolve tickets in accordance with SLAs and escalation procedures.

Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve software application issues following established procedures and methodologies.

Problem Analysis: Understand and analyse problems, proposing resolution paths.

Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation is maintained.

Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest technology trends beyond internal training.

A Day in the Life of the EMEA Data Platform Engineer:

You´ll start your day by scanning platform health dashboards, pipeline success rates, latency, cost and capacity signals, SLO attainment, and data quality alerts, then action the highest-value improvements. You´ll partner with data product managers & owners, data engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, and application teams to turn business needs into robust, reusable platform capabilities.

When EMEA-specific constraints (e.g., GDPR) surface, you´ll collaborate with Security, Legal, and Governance to design compliant patterns without slowing delivery. Working closely with the Global team, you´ll ship infrastructure-as-code, automate CI/CD for data workloads, and harden security so teams can build safely by default.

Throughout the week, you´ll evolve ingestion and processing frameworks (batch, micro-batch, streaming), improve observability (logging, tracing, lineage), and coach teams on using the platform´s self-service tooling and catalog. You´ll run blameless incident reviews, remove toil, and continuously raise reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Each month, you´ll contribute to global architecture forums to converge standards, reuse patterns, and ensure EMEA requirements are reflected in the enterprise roadmap.

The role:
Reporting to the Data Engineering & Platform Manager, the Data Platform Engineer builds and operates the cloud data platforms that powers analytics, AI, and operational data products across the region. You will design secure, scalable, and observable platform services (compute, storage, processing, orchestration, quality, lineage, access), deliver them as well-documented, reusable capabilities, and support teams in adopting them at scale. Success requires deep engineering craft, platform thinking, and close collaboration across product, architecture, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Platform engineering & operations: Design, build, and operate cloud data platforms components (lake/lakehouse, warehouses, streaming, orchestration, catalogs) with strong SLIs/SLOs, automated recovery, and capacity planning.
- Pipelines & frameworks: Provide reusable templates and libraries for ELT/ETL, CDC, and streaming, standardize patterns for schema evolution, testing, and deployments across domains.

What you will need:
- Bachelor´s in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-8+ years in data engineering/platform engineering with production experience in cloud data stacks, with a strong focus on Snowflake, Data Cloud and AWS as primary platforms. Experience with Informatica, dbt, and Azure is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, strong grasp of distributed data processing (e.g., Spark on AWS EMR) and storage formats (Parquet/Delta/Iceberg).

Se Requiere

Estamos buscando un Ingeniero de Plataforma de IA práctico para diseñar, construir y operar plataformas de datos e IA basadas en Databricks en AWS. Mejorarás las capacidades de IA aprovechando Databricks (Workspace, Unity Catalog, Lakehouse, MLflow), servicios modernos en la nube y prácticas de DevOps/MLOps para ofrecer plataformas confiables, seguras y escalables.

Experiencia avanzada en operaciones en la nube en AWS, con un fuerte entendimiento de la escalabilidad de la infraestructura y la optimización de costo/rendimiento.

Experiencia práctica demostrable con Databricks en AWS: administración de workspace, gestión de clústeres y pools, orquestación de trabajos (Jobs/Workflows), repositorios, secretos e integraciones.

Amplia experiencia con Databricks Unity Catalog: configuración de metastore, catálogos/esquemas, linaje de datos, control de acceso (ACLs, permisos), control de acceso basado en atributos y gobernanza de datos.

Experto en Infraestructura como Código para Databricks y AWS usando Terraform (proveedores de databricks y aws) y/o AWS CloudFormation experiencia con paquetes de activos de Databricks o CLI es un plus.

Experiencia implementando CI/CD y GitOps para notebooks, trabajos y activos de ML utilizando GitHub y GitHub Actions (o GitLab/Jenkins), incluyendo pruebas automatizadas y promoción entre workspaces.

Habilidad para estructurar bibliotecas reutilizables, empaquetar y versionar código, y aplicar control de calidad mediante pruebas unitarias/integración y linting. Dominio de SQL para el desarrollo en Lakehouse.

Seguimiento de experimentos, registro de modelos, versionado de modelos, puertas de aprobación y despliegue a endpoints por lotes/tiempo real (Model Serving).

AWS IAM/STS, PrivateLink/VPC, cifrado KMS, Secrets, aprovisionamiento SSO/SCIM y monitoreo/observabilidad (CloudWatch/Datadog/Grafana).

Experiencia con prácticas de DevOps para habilitar estrategias de automatización y reducir operaciones manuales.

Experiencia o conocimiento de prácticas MLOps construir pipelines para acelerar y automatizar el aprendizaje automático será considerado positivamente.

What you’ll do

Requirements Management

• Colaborar con Product Owners, stakeholders y equipos de desarrollo para recopilar, analizar y documentar requisitos de negocio y técnicos.
• Convertir las necesidades del negocio en user stories claras, completas y accionables, con sus criterios de aceptación.
• Facilitar workshops de requisitos, sesiones de refinamiento y asegurar la trazabilidad de los requisitos durante todo el ciclo de vida del producto.

JIRA Ticket Management

• Crear, mantener y priorizar tickets en JIRA para el Product and Team Enablement Squad.
• Asegurar que cada ticket contiene la información necesaria, criterios de aceptación completos y las etiquetas adecuadas.
• Monitorizar el workflow, detectar y desbloquear impedimentos.
• Mantener configuraciones y flujos de JIRA que optimicen la eficiencia del equipo.

Data Analysis & Modeling

• Realizar análisis de datos para apoyar decisiones de negocio y mejoras de producto.
• Diseñar y desarrollar modelos de datos (conceptuales, lógicos y físicos).
• Crear y mantener ERDs y diagramas de flujo de datos.
• Detectar problemas de calidad del dato y proponer soluciones.

SQL Table Creation & Management

• Diseñar y crear tablas SQL según los requisitos del negocio y estándares del modelo de datos.
• Escribir y optimizar consultas SQL para extracción y análisis.
• Mantener y actualizar tablas existentes ante nuevos atributos o cambios funcionales.
• Mantener la documentación del modelo de datos actualizada.
