¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

• Grado/Licenciatura en Bioinformática, Biología, Biotecnología, Bioquímica, Farmacia, Ingeniería Biomédica o similar o formación equivalente con competencias técnicas demostrables.
• Máster o formación especializada en Bioinformática, Ciencia de Datos o Inteligencia Artificial (muy valorable).
• Inglés medio-alto.
• 3-5 años de experiencia en bioinformática o ciencia de datos aplicada a biomedicina.
• Experiencia en análisis de datos -ómicos, biomarcadores o medicina traslacional.
• Experiencia en programación científica (R imprescindible; Python muy valorable).
• Experiencia en análisis estadísticos complejos (PCA, multivariables, etc)
• Experiencia en entorno farmacéutico, biotech o estudios clínicos.
• Experiencia en validación analítica en entornos clínicos
• Experiencia en programación científica, principalmente en R; se valorarán conocimientos en Python.
• Conocimientos sólidos de estadística aplicada, Machine Learning y desarrollo de modelos predictivos.
• Experiencia en análisis e integración de grandes volúmenes de datos biomédicos y multi-ómicos.
• Conocimientos de SQL, Git, visualización de datos y automatización de flujos de trabajo.

Leading projects

• Lead automation projects that remove manual effort from the planning cycle and make the plan faster, more reliable and more optimized towards the organizational goals.
• Drive end-to-end alignment with operations, transportation and upstream planning teams so the full plan comes together consistently.
• Lead process-improvement and standardisation initiatives — redesign a forecasting method, close a structural accuracy gap, or make a process repeatable across countries — and quantify the business impact.
• Build and scale forecasting tools and models, and drive their adoption across the team. Work hands-on with data and code (Python, SQL, AWS) to build models, automation and analysis that support the plan.
  
  

A day in the life

You own the plan and the methodology for a broad scope, so your day mixes deep analysis with senior stakeholder leadership. You run your part of the weekly cadence and, when actuals miss, you lead the root-cause deep-dive, quantify the impact, and align partners on the fix. You present and defend your plan to senior leadership, and you spend time moving a project forward — an automation, an end-to-end alignment with upstream teams, or a process redesign that raises accuracy across countries. You review the work of an analyst you're mentoring. Your decisions shape network speed, cost and accuracy across Europe.

About The Team

We are the central planning team for Amazon's European delivery S&OP. Our mission is to plan the volume that flows across the European delivery network as accurately and cost-effectively as possible, and to build the tools and forecasts that make that plan better every cycle. We're a technically strong, data-driven group that values ownership, curiosity and inventiveness. Analysts are trusted with real scope early, present their plans to leadership, and are empowered with AI tools to support innovation, to unlock new capabilities within the team, and to drive simplification of our work to focus on the decisions that matter.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working with databases and SQL
• Experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, business administration or a related field
• Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• Experience working in supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting
• Experience in data analytics or automation
• Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)

In This Role, You Will

• Developing various facets of data capture, data processing, storage, distribution and visualization
• Understanding and applying AWS standard methodologies and products (compute, storage, databases)
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Develop scalable and highly-performant distributed systems with everything this entails (availability, monitoring, resiliency)
• Communicating and documenting solutions and design decisions
• Proposing new ways of doing things and contribute to the system architecture
• Be part of an agile team that is continuously learning and improving.
  
  

Experience And Qualification

• Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Scala, Python or Java etc)
• Experience delivering and supporting highly available and scalable solutions with large transaction volume
• Experience in working with Relational Databases and proven knowledge of SQL
• Experience of using cloud services (e.g. AWS)
• A passion for learning, especially in the areas of data, technology, service design patterns and system architecture
• Be self-motivated with drive and good organizational skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

The total cash range for this position in Madrid is €43,000.00 to €60,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to €69,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
