Summary - Basic Function Of The Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. The Automation Engineer in the field of Industrial Automation and Robotics will have the opportunity to develop their career by participating in innovative software projects for automated systems. They will work under the supervision of senior engineers and collaborate with mechanical, hardware, and software engineering teams to learn and apply technical skills in the design, maintenance, and improvement of software for robotic and automated systems.
This position is ideal for a professional with programming knowledge and a strong interest in industrial automation who wants to gain hands-on experience in software development for advanced industrial environments.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- On-site position based in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid)
- Software Development Support - Assist in implementing and improving machine software for operations, navigation, safety, and systems, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Engineering Collaboration - Work with mechanical, hardware, and software teams to develop integrated automation solutions and ensure seamless system communication (robots, PLCs, sensors, etc.).
- Testing & Verification - Help test and validate software to meet precision and quality standards, troubleshooting issues during system operation.
- Maintenance & Updates - Monitor software performance, assist in preventive maintenance, and support software updates to ensure system reliability.
- Documentation & Compliance - Maintain technical documentation and support the implementation of safety protocols in software development.
- Training & Support - Assist in training operators and technicians, providing basic troubleshooting and supporting system commissioning.
- Engagement with Employee Resource Groups which can provide leadership and networking opportunities.

Summary - Basic Function Of The Role
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role focuses on custom and special product development in mechanics and hydraulics, from initial requirements to final delivery. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovation team to drive engineering projects and ensure high-quality solutions.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams to develop, coordinate, and execute projects in line with company standards.
- Oversee the quotation and order process, including design, calculations, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation updates, including as-built revisions, RPS, and instruction sheets.
- Request supplier quotes for cost estimation before handover to the supply chain.
- Develop technical solutions based on customer requirements, liaising with sales and customers as needed.
- Support production, testing, and compliance procedures, assisting sales with on-site tests.
- Conduct regular project meetings to track progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Design and evaluate testing procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate on New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
- Promote and enforce health, safety, security, environmental, and quality (HSSEQ) standards.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in cylinders, bolt tensioners, mechanical systems, sealing processes, tribology, or high-pressure hydraulic applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA (Ansys, Mechanical, Catia), CREO & CREO SIMULATE, or SolidWorks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative technical solutions.
- Fluent in English (written & spoken).
