Language Avenue is an independent language school that focuses on real-world communication. Located near to Sagrada Familia. Our teaching focus is communicative, with grammar as a means to an end and not the end itself.

We are looking for a teacher to join our growing team at our school next to the Sagrada Familia. We are committed to helping our students reach their goals and offer a comfortable team atmosphere where we collaborate to offer the best experience to students and employees.

Requirements:

• Immediate availability
• Native English or C2 certificate with demonstrable cultural knowledge.
• Demonstrate experience working with CEFR levels.
• Demonstrate experience teaching for Cambridge or Trinity exams.
• Able to work with all ages. Few groups of Kids of 5 and 7 years old, and the rest for adults.
• Tech fluency while developing confidence.
• Be creative.
• Passion for teaching!
• Already based in Barcelona. Spanish or EU work/student permit who is allowed to work part-time

What we offer:

• Contract and competitive salary. Long term perspective. Average of 16.50€ per hour (yearly compensation devided by delivered yearly hours) for first year.
• Approximately 9h weekly teaching hours to start, increasing hours likely. Hours distributed from 17:30 to 20:00/20:30 (Mon to Thu) and, if personally convenient, also from 9:30 to 11:30 hours (Mon to Thu)

• National Geographic and Cambridge materials and multimedia rooms.
• Strong team and supportive atmosphere.

Plus: (optional)

• Knowledge of CLIL, flipped classrooms, communicative language teaching, multicultural approach.
• Experience in Business English.
