As a Global Team Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing end-to-end (E2E) supply chain processes within the food industry across various countries. Your role involves implementing and embedding lean principles and continuous improvement (CI) methodologies across the organization. You will ensure that production processes are efficient, safe, and of high quality while continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance operations and minimize waste, leveraging your strong business acumen.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Strategy & Performance
- Shape and drive Paulig strategy and implement Paulig Operating System (POS).
- Shape and deploy POS standards and methods (Hoshin Planning, Daily Management routines, Gemba Walks, 5S, Problem Solving, SOPs, VSM, etc.)
- Facilitate Kaizen events, POS workshops, or other improvement initiatives.
- Support sites to run material loss & cost analysis to build a solid pipeline of productivity initiatives fostering Paulig competitiveness.
- Drive the execution and follow-up of the productivity projects implementation plan in the sites, in close collaboration with the site management, the local CI champions and Finance team.
- Measure business impact (financial & non-financial) of productivity initiatives in the sites, linked to the site’s strategic objectives.
- Utilize data analysis and benchmarking to drive improvements and decision-making process for site management.
- Support E2E Supply Chain in resolving complex issues by applying standard Problem Solving methodology.
- Support integration of CI methodology into process digitalization projects.
Paulig Excellence Culture:
- Collaborate closely with Safety and Quality global and local managers to support the sites to deploy Safety and Quality standards to meet Paulig objectives.
- Support building a continuous improvement culture and mindset by sharing, implementing, and maintaining the best practices.
- Act as an active change agent engaging key stakeholders across Paulig organization.
- Shape and deploy POS Excellence Maturity assessment.
- Support the sites to run POS Excellence Maturity assessments to define improvement initiatives to gain more maturity.
- Promote Paulig POS Excellence behaviours
- Engage sites management teams to deploy POS Excellence reward and recognition
Organization and individual capability building:
- Shape and support POS training curriculum deployment.
- Increase the productivity improvement skillset in the individual plants by on-the-floor coaching and mentoring of various stakeholders from operator up to Plant Manager and Director/VP.
- Train and coach local teams to build a proper level of Operations Excellence capability in E2E Supply Chain.
- Assess and provide input to the Personal Development Plans of the local Site CI Champions and Process Experts.
- Actively promote the CI leadership to share knowledge, best practices, and success stories.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
• Master of Science in Engineering or similar
• Relevant background within CI
• Project management experience from major manufacturing efficiency projects
• Lean management experience
• Experience from working in international environments
• Process development experience
• Good knowledge of I4.0 and digitalization in manufacturing
• Fluency in English on a professional level, both oral and written
To succeed in this role, you are excellent in leading change, team building and networking. As a person you are driven by result and have excellent project management skills. Fluency in English, both oral and written is required. You have international experience as you will be part of an international team and environment. Travel is a requirement in this role.
