We are seeking a compassionate and people-focused Department Manager to join our team and cultivate a thriving environment within our IT organization. In this role, you will be the champion of our employees, ensuring their well-being, growth, and development are at the forefront of our operations. This role is pivotal in shaping a positive and supportive work environment where our IT professionals can excel.


Your responsibilities:

  • Nurture and guide the IT department by conducting regular check-ins with employees, including 1-1 meetings, to foster a sense of belonging and address individual needs.
  • Support the development of our IT professionals, identifying and supporting their hard and soft skill development through mentorship, training, and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and Operational Directors to ensure alignment between resource allocation, project staffing, and employee well-being.
  • Cultivate a culture of open communication and trust, proactively addressing challenges and resolving conflicts with a focus on empathy and understanding.
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention, contributing to a positive and fulfilling work experience.



Your skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and the ability to connect with individuals at all levels.
  • A passion for fostering growth and development, with experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting employee learning.
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, enabling effective partnerships with HR, business teams, and Operational Directors.
  • Understanding of IT environment and the roles.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and address potential challenges before they escalate.
  • Prior experience in HR, L&D, or people management roles is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish at B2 level or higher.
