We are looking for a Strategist – Design Researcher – Service Designer trainee to join our Innovation team and contribute to the new product and services’ design.

What you will do

You will be working collaboratively in a team that will guide and support you in the following activities:

• Understand the business needs, and map the existing service ecosystems and processes
• Organize and participate in user interviews, analysing the information and synthetizing it
• Plan and conduct workshops for idea generation
• Generate ideas, and propose solutions
• Participate actively in the conceptualization and prototyping
• Plan and conduct the user tests, summarizing the results in a structured report
• Support the implementation of the global innovation process and current and new initiatives

Requirements

• Solid knowledge in innovation, design research and service design, and methodologies such as design thinking, design sprints, among others
• High skills in the craft to create artifacts and maps such as archetypes, user journeys and service blueprints
• Structured and organized mindset to plan, conduct, realise user research, and deliver high quality reports
• Experience / ability to facilitate workshops
• Hands-on experience working with collaborative tools like Miro, Mural or FigJam and familiar with Figma
• Ability to share, present and expose in front of a diverse and multicultural team

Education

• Degree in Design and Innovation, Product and Service Design
• A master’s degree in Product and Service Design, User Experience and Interaction Design (UX/UI), Research for Design and Innovation, Innovation and Design Thinking, is an advantage

Eurecat precisa para la Unidad Tecnológica de WAS (Water, Air & Soil) un perfil con Grado en Ingeniería Química, Ciencias Ambientales, Química, Ingeniería Ambiental o similar (se valorará muy positivamente la posesión de un Doctorado o Máster en los campos relacionados) para la preparación, coordinación y ejecución de proyectos de I+D+i, de ámbito nacional e internacional, en la temática de la modelización, simulación y métodos numéricos aplicados al ámbito ambiental.

• Participación en actividades de investigación aplicada con empresas, administraciones, universidades y centros de investigación en una gran variedad de sectores: urbano, alimentario, químico, farmacéutico, etc.
• Participación en proyectos de I+D+i de ámbito nacional e internacional con empresas para el desarrollo de procesos y sistemas más sostenibles.

Requisitos

Formación

Se valorará mucho la formación positiva en la modelización y simulación de procesos químicos utilizando una especialización (ASPEN, DWSIM, etc.)

Experiencia

Imprescindible experiencia en modelización y simulación en almenos uno de los siguientes ámbitos y/o aplicaciones: procesos químicos, fenómenos de transporte y mecánica de fluidos, hidràulica en xarxes de distribució d’aigua, hidrología superficial y/o subterránea.

• Represent P2P at conferences and events, participating in panels, networking, and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
• Support the organisation’s strategic initiatives by contributing technical and strategic analyses of protocols, technologies, and market dynamics.
• Track and engage with blockchain protocol developments through technical documentation, GitHub repositories, governance forums, and developer communities.
• Propose proof-of-concept projects to validate research findings and explore new opportunities.

You have 🤓

• A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You must be comfortable with code and the technical aspects of protocol and smart contract development.
• Strong quantitative and data analytics skills
• Experience conducting research and analysis in crypto or across other emerging technologies.
• A demonstrated passion for and active involvement in the crypto ecosystem (e.g., publishing research, contributing to projects, or developing thought leadership). When we speak to you, you'll clearly know a lot more than us about some area of crypto. (For example: areas of technical advancement in Bitcoin; co-processors, cryptography, secure hardware, co-processers, TEEs, mechanism design, etc)
• Open-mindedness and an ability to navigate complex, cross-disciplinary research challenges.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly in writing and presentations. Experience publishing academic papers or technical reports related to blockchain, distributed systems, or cryptography. (Share us a sample of your writing to jump to the top of our candidate list)
• Experience working with open-source projects and communities
• Knowledge of tools like the Zettelkasten method for knowledge management (Nice-to-have)
