We are currently looking for a Senior Python Developer to strengthen the team.

You will be working alongside globally renowned and award-winning design, development and technology teams who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. Projects range from 20-100 people with typical large-scale clients in the Telecoms, Financial Services and Retail sector amongst others depending on demand.

We always hire for a career in EPAM, but the initial client for this hire is a leading UK-based Hedge Fund with aggressive growth aspirations and a challenging delivery agenda.

Responsibilities
- Development of solutions across a wide range of problem areas in a fast-paced hedge fund environment
- Drive results, productivity, quality, and value for the client, respecting their deadlines and objectives but also being an honest, realistic and committed partner to them
- Play a proactive role in proposing technologies, tools & approaches
- Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences
- Identify and manage risks and flag major issues early

Requirements
- Strong Testing skills (Unit Tests, Integration Tests, Mock frameworks)
- 3+ years of experience in an OOP language (Java, C#, C++...)
- Wide experience in Python Core, OOP, Dependency Injection and SQL
- RESTful services concepts
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Previous experience working with code management tools and working from a checked-in code base
- Strong communication skills

Your new position
- You take on a responsible role in the development of the Customer & Marketing web applications and the associated backend services.
- You play a key role in defining requirements and solution approaches in collaboration with Product Owners.
- Together with your team, you take responsibility for the services and applications of the tema and ensure both maintenance and operation within the cloud infrastructure.
- Continuous improvement is important to you.
- You enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues and thereby contribute to the development of the entire team.
- You work on the integration and connection of Large Language Models (LLMs) and use frameworks like LangChain to develop innovative (generative) AI solutions.

What would you need to fit in it?
- Several years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer and have already built and operated your own applications in the past.
- More than 4 yrs experience with React and the latest TypeScript standards.
- You swear by TypeScript and prefer to test every line of your code.
- Experience in NoSQL databases (like MongoDB) and in relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Solid experience with Continuous Delivery and (cloud) infrastructure, you also know how to combine this with microservices.
- Proficient in the Python programming language and have experience in developing and implementing AI models.
- Experience in connecting and using Large Language Models (LLMs) and are familiar with frameworks like LangChain.

Valuable add ons:You are interested in chatbot and voice solutions, especially the intricacies of NLP, and ideally have already gained initial experience with services like Google Dialogflow.
