Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of functional test automations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, SikuliX and API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured, with a focus on designing and executing automated tests to streamline the development/regression life cycle. Working with the QAs, DEVs, BAs and Product Owners, you will use your experience & skills to help drive best automation testing practice in the project.

Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop and maintain ROBUST automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber and Playwright along with tools like Postman REST Assured.
· Create reusable, maintainable test scripts for both UI and API testing within the existing frameworks.
· Develop and execute API test cases to validate backend services, ensuring seamless integration with front end components.
· Create and manage test cases in Xray integrated with Jira, ensuring traceability to requirements and coverage for both UI and API layers.
· Execute automated tests across multiple platforms and environments.
· Sync automated test results back to Xray, generating detailed reports.
· Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
· Identify, document, and track defects in Jira while collaborating with developers for resolution.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies and scrum processes.
· Ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, regression, API testing, and integration testing.
· Regularly review test execution results and coverage reports in Xray Jira to ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Java, Selenium Web Driver, Playwright, and Cucumber/Gherkin syntax.
· Ability to learn quickly the existing test framework & tests.
· Experience with Xray APIs integration from scratch to automatically upload test results to Jira after execution.
· Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Maven) and version control systems (Git).
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience using Jira.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Pro-active planning and individual contribution.

Automation Engineer Data Warehouse

With your work as an Automation Engineer at Bank, you contribute to consistent and automated ETL flows in data warehouses. This ensures that we, as a bank, have reliable datasets and reports available more quickly.

You make the lives of the modelers at Bank much easier. With the tooling you facilitate for them, they can model data models and mappings much faster. You then ensure that these are correctly deployed on our AWS platform and create functionalities for automatic testing using Cucumber. The modelers work with PowerDesigner. And yes, sometimes an extra function in the software would be very handy for them. In such cases, you take action and program an extension in Python that makes them happy. Additionally, you and your fellow engineers provide support to the modelers. If they encounter an error message, you investigate and come up with a solution.

In a relatively short time, our development street has grown significantly. With your insight, you can quickly determine if and where a small change can have an impact on the system. This is an important quality that you use daily to contribute to the higher performance of the teams that provide reliable figures. This allows us, as a bank, to account to the regulator and ensure that we continue to bank with a human touch.

Where you will work: In the Finance Data & Reporting department, various development teams are working daily to create models and mappings that guarantee reliable figures and reports. You are part of a group of automation engineers who facilitate the teams with tooling. The work is done according to the agile and scrum methods. Everyone in the team reviews each other´s work. When you have completed a design, you present it to your colleagues and the modelers, explaining your design choices. Important general information is added to your own Wiki about the development street.

Your qualities: You make complex matters easily understandable and, with your technical insight, you come up with innovative solutions and new ideas. Together with your team, you ensure optimal performance and the development and management of the required functionality.
