Your missionYou´ll work in Bitpanda´s Crypto Hub on building a retail-friendly access point to DeFi, expanding Bitpanda´s ecosystem into the Web3 space, whether you lean more towards backend engineering, frontend engineering, the core focus is full-stack excellence. Who you are
- A Software Engineer with expertise in either backend services or reactive frontend development and ideally comfortable operating full-stack.
- You bring familiarity with smart contract development, hosting cryptonodes, Viem/Ethers.js, RPCs, or third-party blockchain data providers.
- Experienced with technologies such as Nest.js, API design, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Prisma, and/or reactive programming with RxJS; or, on the frontend side, frameworks like Ionic or Angular.
- Eager to dive deeper into the Web3 domain, blockchains (EVM & non-EVM), smart contracts, transactions, and concepts like account abstraction.

- Experiencia sólida como Software Architect, Technical Lead o similar en entornos frontend.
- Conocimiento profundo de JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SASS y patrones de diseño frontend.
- Experiencia con Redux, Context API u otras soluciones de gestión de estado.
- Experiencia en arquitecturas de micro frontends, integración de APIs REST/GraphQL y WebSockets.

What We´re Looking For

We are seeking a product-minded, impact-driven Backend Engineer to join our Cortex team, which is building the Content and Video backbone that powers every app in our ecosystem (YogaGo, MuscleBooster, WalkFit, etc.) with curated, reusable, and engaging content.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in Domain Driven Design, cross-functional product development and Engineering Excellence. In this role, you´ll collaborate with product, engineering, data and content teams in the development of our Content and Video Platform. Funciones:
• Diseñar y desarrollar microservicios en la nube (comercio electrónico, aprovisionamiento de servicios, etc.) para su integración con el portafolio de la nube.
• Diseño de API REST para clientes externos de la plataforma.
• Desafiar y redefinir la arquitectura existente; prever los desafíos de diseño posteriores a la implementación; escalar cuellos de botella.
• Desarrollar e implementar planes de verificación de software y procedimientos de control de calidad.
• Documentar y mantener la funcionalidad del software.

Habilidades/Experiencia en proyectos - MANDATORY:
• Sólidos conocimientos de Java, junto con experiencia en Spring, JDBC, Hibernate y servicios web REST.
• Sólida comprensión conceptual de OOPS, patrones de diseño, arquitectura de microservicios y arquitectura limpia.
• ​​Experiencia con servidores de aplicaciones/contenedores de servlets (Wildfly, Tomcat, etc.).
• Experiencia en la gestión de Linux, Docker y Kubernetes.
• Sólida experiencia en SQL (específicamente PostgreSQL) y pruebas de CD/CI.
• Inglés C1: conversación y comprensión fluida

Habilidades/Experiencia en proyectos - deseable:
• Experiencia en diseño de APIs REST.
• Desarrollo e implementación de aplicaciones en plataformas en la nube (Azure, AWS).
• Experiencia en extremo a extremo (Selenium, Cucumber).
• Experiencia en procesos DevOps y herramientas de CI como Jenkins.
• Experiencia en Python.

Work as part of a self-organised Services engineering team to design and develop software features that are delightful and vital to the lives of credit card consumers across all walks of life.

Work to achieve the goals and vision articulated by Product Management and your management chain.

Your focus is on a major portion of existing or new team software (e.g., significant component, set of features, mid-size application or service).

Innovate within your team, initiative area and contribute within your technical domain.

Key Skills

Very strong Java programming skills and knowledge of building API´s

Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g. SOLID principles)

Experience with different testing types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing

You´re an advocate for quality and can lead the team leveraging approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD and BDD

Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA

Experience with event-driven architectures

Experience with REST APIs

Relevant experience with AWS services

Experience with Gradle or Maven

Experience with Enterprise Jenkins

Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
