C# Java Python OOP C++ Excel

As a Games Mathematician, you will be responsible for designing math models, writing simulations to verify game models and contributing to overall game design for our online RMG slot games. The role requires a keen interest in gambling games, combinatorial mathematics, statistics, coding and an aptitude for creative problem solving. The ideal candidate would excel at working in a creative environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team, take responsibility for organizing work within a production schedule, managing files and meeting deadlines. Success in this role requires a motivated and inventive personality, able to work across a wide range of tasks with others as well as under their own initiative.
*Key Responsibilities: *

* Creation and management of gaming math documents ensuring that they are synchronised with the game model throughout game development. 
* Development of game simulations that output a wide range of data points and accurately model the creative ideas generated in tandem with Game Producers. 
* Liaising with Game Developers to convey game logic in an understandable manner to ensure a smooth game creation process 
* Drive game ideation with fresh and creative ideas, keeping a pulse on the wider gambling and online slot environment. 
* Proactively communicate about work status, blocking issues and possible workflow improvements.

* Has studied mathematics to degree level, ideally in probability, statistics or combinatorics, or has industry experience in creating Math models for gambling games. 
* Is adept at programming primarily in C#, or other adjacent OOP or multi-paradigm languages (C, C++, Java, Python etc.) 
* Logical thinking, analytical skills and exception creative problem-solving abilities. 
* Experience in using Excel to model statistical models, or similarly high level Excel experience. 
* Ability to take responsibility for organizing work within a production schedule, managing files and meeting deadlines under their own initiative. 
* Good oral and written skills in English.

The Role:
The Trade Engine Engineering team at Ebury is seeking an experienced Software Engineer. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the next iteration of our FX platform´s services, collaborating both in the development and delivery of new products but also in the improvement and automation of existing ones.
- Collaborate with your team members and engineering leaders to design new services and components using our Request For Comments (RFC) process.

- You are adept at both constructing and managing services. As such, you should have proficiency in establishing standard APIs, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services, along with a strong expertise in integrating external systems.
- You are not afraid of legacy code, being able to keep it running and make improvement proposals once you are comfortable with the workflows, so that we can reduce our technical debt backlog.
- Quality is important to us, we expect your code to be testable and well covered with unit and integration tests. We use CI Jenkins pipelines and terraform for the deployment of services and infrastructure. From time to time, you might need to contribute to it.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer (focused on Preact, Typescript).
You will be part of one of our agile teams in Design System, and your main task will be the development and delivery of the UI components.

As our product is used by +41.000 organizations all around the world, we cannot put everything into single core functionality. Therefore, we have an in-house built npm-based JavaScript framework, which we use to build solutions on top of the NetSuite Platform. This framework enables us to deliver complex applications from backend to frontend.

We are focused on building components for the NetSuite platform.

Quality is a must for us, therefore we deliver applications that fulfil high code coverage criteria achieved by unit tests and end-to-end test automation. We also have time for documentation, refactoring and innovation.

What You´ll Do
You will be part of one of our agile teams in Design System, and your main task will be the development and delivery of the UI components. You will participate in all the tasks involved in the agile process.

Constantly spending time-solving challenges, learning and processing new information, and iterating over your ideas. It´s a fun and challenging process that will help you grow in the role as you add value to the company and become an expert in different areas.

- Team player and people focused
- Ability to connect pieces of information and explain them in non-technical language
- Ability to break down problems into simple units of work
- Work permit for Spain is required for this role.
Nice to have - Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development team
- Experience developing in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Experience in Java or C#, more importantly, experience with OOP and design patterns
- Experience with ERP systems development
