Junior Business Analyst/Tester is a dual-function role sitting within the Mobility Data squad. This position bridges the gap between business requirements and technical delivery by combining functional analysis with hands-on quality assurance. The role holder is responsible for translating business needs into clear specifications and ensuring that every delivered feature is rigorously validated before reaching production.
Acting as both an analytical and quality-focused contributor, this profile is essential to maintaining the reliability, consistency, and integrity of the Mobility DataMart — supporting BAU activities, new developments, and continuous improvement initiatives in an Agile environment.
Your Mission Is To
As a Business Analyst:
- Gather, structure, and translate business needs into functional solutions
- Ensure solutions are properly aligned with defined requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Mobility DataMart
- Ensure the appropriate level of operational testing is carried out in line with the test strategy
- Guarantee that all requirements are covered by test cases and that anomalies are properly tracked to resolution
- Capitalise on test assets for reuse across future releases
Functional Analysis & Requirements
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to clarify scope and functional requirements
- Gather, evaluate, and prioritize business needs; translate them into user stories and functional specifications
- Contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning in an Agile framework
- Model processes and workflows using UML and BPMN where relevant
- Ensure alignment and mutual understanding between business and technical teams
- Produce and maintain functional documentation and user guides
- Contribute to the production of the test strategy and test plans
- Perform test analyses based on specifications and requirements
- Design, produce, and maintain test cases, test campaigns, and logical/physical data sets
- Ensure all requirements are properly covered by validation activities
- Execute test campaigns, investigate anomalies, and produce test evidence
- Monitor progress of anomaly resolution and ensure proper follow-up
- Contribute to test phase closure and produce test reports
- Capitalise on changes made to test baselines for reuse in future versions
- Contribute to the maintenance and support of the Mobility DataMart
- Monitor data flows, data quality, and data integrity
- Troubleshoot data or reporting issues and propose solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery
- Support continuous improvements of reporting and data processes
- Work closely with developers, data teams, and business stakeholders throughout delivery
- Support both development and validation phases to ensure correct implementation
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly and in a timely manner
- Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and delivery quality
Good Knowledge Of
- Process modelling (UML, BPMN)
- Good knowledge of SQL and data concepts
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Octane, or similar tools
- Understanding of data flows and validation/testing methodologies

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Data, or a related field

Reporting to a Director in Fund Finance, the individual will lead the data strategy workstream for Fund Finance, owning the ingestion of data feeds from external fund administrators into Snowflake and driving tech automation to maximise operational efficiency across the team.
We are looking for a technically strong and collaborative individual who can take ownership of Fund Finance’s data infrastructure. The successful candidate should be professional, demonstrate good communication and inter-personal skills, with a willingness to learn and further develop their career within the finance and technology functions of a leading global Private Equity Firm.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Snowflake Integration:
- Own the end-to-end ingestion of data feeds from external fund administrators into Snowflake, ensuring feeds are complete, accurately mapped to Permira’s data model and consistently reconciled
- Maintain automated data pipelines connecting fund administrator sources to Snowflake, partnering with the IT Data team on architecture, scheduling and monitoring
- Perform robust data validation and reconciliation across all ingested feeds, identifying and remediating quality issues to uphold the integrity of Fund Finance information
- Develop and document data governance standards, ownership frameworks and lineage documentation for all Fund Finance data assets held in Snowflake
- Support the broader Permira Data Strategy by championing Snowflake adoption within Fund Finance and collaborating with other business lines on shared data standards
- Define and enforce data quality standards across Fund Finance, establishing automated alerting and monitoring within Snowflake pipelines
- Translate Fund Finance reporting requirements into scalable automated dashboards and Snowflake-backed data models, reducing manual effort and improving analytical access
- Identify and implement AI and process automation opportunities across Fund Finance day-to-day operations to eliminate repetitive manual tasks
- Collaborate within the Fund Finance Data team to maintain and enhance Fund Finance models in Anaplan, supporting integration with Snowflake and ensuring reporting outputs align with validated source data
- Act as primary liaison between Fund Finance and the IT Data team, translating business requirements into technical data solutions and managing delivery against agreed timescales

Requisitos mínimos:

Como parte de este proyecto, diseñarás, desarrollarás y probarás módulos de software, garantizando una funcionalidad e integración perfectas dentro de sistemas complejos. Colaborarás con equipos multifuncionales para ofrecer soluciones de software de alta calidad.
Funciones
- Diseñar, desarrollar y mantener módulos de software garantizando el cumplimiento de las mejores prácticas de ingeniería de software.
- Colaborar con equipos multifuncionales para definir los requisitos de software y garantizar la alineación de los resultados con los objetivos empresariales.
- Producir sólidas compilaciones de software a partir del código fuente, cumpliendo los criterios de rendimiento y seguridad definidos.
- Dirigir las revisiones del código y participar en ellas, garantizando la calidad y el cumplimiento de las normas de codificación.
- Realizar pruebas de integración del sistema, diagnosticar fallos y fomentar la mejora continua de la solidez y eficiencia del software.
- Utilizar las últimas metodologías de desarrollo para innovar y mejorar el proceso de entrega de software.
- Contribuir a las decisiones sobre arquitectura y diseño de sistemas, garantizando la escalabilidad, la fiabilidad y la capacidad de mantenimiento.
Requisitos
- Sólidos fundamentos de informática con más de 4 años de experiencia profesional en desarrollo de software
- Fuertes habilidades analíticas y de resolución de problemas
- Experiencia en Java con Spring Boot, SQL (Oracle), Kubernetes (PKS), Máquinas Virtuales, CI/CD pipelines, Kafka, Avro, Open API, UML
- Capaz de colaborar de forma práctica con Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Experiencia con arquitectura orientada a servicios, servicios RESTful
- Profundo conocimiento y experiencia del Ciclo de Vida de Desarrollo de Software, incluyendo integración continua, patrones de diseño, mejores prácticas
