Your team
We are the home to ambitious traders and investors from across the globe. And we know that these ambitious clients and prospects have high expectations to be served inspiring experiences, communications and campaigns. That is why we're building a small in-house studio to serve our European business.
You will be central to the success of this ambition.
As Head of Creative you will set a world-class standard in creative output, building a team which spans design and production and which delivers for our marketing teams in partnership with our agency roster.
You will be responsible for elevating the level of creative thinking and execution, and ensuring a high level of creativity, quality, accuracy and speed in the work that we do.
Your role in the Team’s Success
You are a seasoned, experienced Head of Creative that has spent over a decade leading and developing teams to create compelling communications and campaigns that grow businesses. You will be passionate about the power of ideas to connect with audiences, but will know that the execution of an idea takes craft and dedication, and you will inspire teams to take ownership and perfect that craft end-to-end.
What You’ll Do
- Leading a small team of copywriters and designers based across Europe
- Forming a strong partnership with the Heads of Marketing for Northern and Southern Europe to elevate the creative standard of our marketing assets
- Directing the execution of campaigns and communications across all channels and touchpoints, in partnership with our creative agencies
- Take on the role of ECD for smaller pieces of work, taking ownership of creative concepting in response to marketing briefs
- Reviewing and approving communications work and implementing practices that ensure quality and effectiveness is delivered across all BAU and campaign briefs
- Represent and showcase the creative work and team at the highest levels of the organisation.
- Taking feedback from multiple stakeholders, and implementing that feedback to deliver work that meets – or exceeds – the expectations of the business
- Guiding the adaptation and expansion of work that was originated by external agencies or freelancers.
- Lead, develop and mentor team members, creating a culture of 'one-team', growth, innovation and collaboration.
- A digital native. You will be abreast of the latest technologies and trends and will be comfortable delivering ideas that exist across film, OOH, print, radio, social and digital experiences.
- Hands on. This isn't the role for someone who wants to sit at the top and direct, your team will need your support day-to-day to develop brilliant creative work.
- Collaborative. You will know that leadership takes influence and that delivering world-class work requires bringing people along on the journey; you will be confident in your ability to build strong relationships across the business.
- Inspiring. You can influence senior stakeholders with confident and clear communications. You can also inspire, challenge and motivate your own team with constructive feedback.
- Commercially aware. You know that ideas grounded in the right business strategy are powerful, so you lead teams to understand the business context and to generate work that is commercially effective.
- A self-starter. You will always take end-to-end ownership of the team’s work, and you will actively uplift the profile of the team within IG.
- Passionate. You take great pride in your work, and you expect others to take pride in theirs. You set a high standard and elevate and protect the creative integrity of your team’s work.
- Finance. An understand of and passion for the financial markets will be a big plus!
- Multi-lingual. You'll be fluent in English, and if you can speak French, German and/or Spanish then that is a plus
