ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College, Soto de Viñuelas, the founding school of the King’s Group, was established in 1969 and is widely recognised for its academic excellence and holistic approach to education. We are seeking an energetic and committed Head of Primary PE & PE Teacher to lead our Primary Physical Education provision and contribute to PE teaching in the Secondary School up to IGCSE level, starting August 2026.
The successful candidate will combine strong classroom practice with strategic leadership to inspire students, promote wellbeing and physical development, and contribute to the broader life of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality Physical Education across the Primary School.
- Teach PE to Primary pupils and selected Secondary classes (up to IGCSE).
- Develop and implement schemes of work and assessment in line with school and curriculum requirements.
- Organise and promote sporting events, inter-house competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure continuity of progression in Physical Education
- Contribute to the school’s pastoral and co-curricular programmes, modelling the values and ethos of King’s College
- A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching PE in a Primary setting and up to IGCSE level.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or readiness to lead a department.
- A passion for promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A collaborative, enthusiastic approach and commitment to high standards

King’s College School, Soto de Viñuelas is seeking a committed and adaptable Secondary Cover Teacher on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom cover across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who can quickly engage students and maintain high standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to secondary students across different year groups.
- Maintain a positive, purposeful and well-managed classroom environment.
- Follow school policies, procedures and behaviour expectations.
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Provide feedback to subject teachers on student engagement and progress.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute to a professional learning environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent teaching qualification).
- Experience working with secondary-aged students.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Flexibility and confidence covering a range of subjects.

ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College Soto de Viñuelas, a highly regarded British international school in Madrid, is seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher to join the Secondary School team from August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic educator to teach across the secondary age range (11–18) and contribute to both IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme teaching.
The successful candidate will inspire a love of Physics, uphold high academic standards, and play an active role in a strong, collaborative Science department within one of Spain’s leading international schools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons in line with the British and IB curricula.
- Teach across Key Stages 3–5, including IGCSE and IB Diploma Physics.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in accordance with curriculum and school expectations.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and the creation of high-quality teaching resources.

- A degree in Physics (or a closely related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
