From Taylor Hopkinson we are searching for a Head of Construction/EPC Director to join a leading renewable energy company focused on development, construction and operation of onshore projects in Europe.

This person will be based in Madrid with punctual travels to the headquarters and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the company’s construction pipeline across its operating countries in continental Europe.
• Coordinate the local and international construction team for the stages that are related from pre-construction until the COD.
• Support and manage the corporate strategy in construction with a close collaboration with the development and engineering department
• Manage the budget and resources for the different stages of the projects to ensure the expected profitability of them.
• Manage the RFQs, suppliers (both global and local) and procurement process, together with engineering department.
• Evaluate potential risks that affect the normal performance of the project to make timely decisions, mitigate them or reduce their impacts.
• Elaborate monthly reports of performance indicators, planning and budget.
• Interact with local authorities, suppliers and stakeholders when required to ensure a smooth process of implementation of projects.
• Keep a strong focus on general management, customer centricity, market orientation whilst ensuring the effective operation and administration of all general aspects for the success of the business.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree; an MBA is desirable.
• Extensive experience in renewable energy sector, especially in the construction/EPC area managing high level performance teams.
• Deep knowledge of solar PV and BESS technologies. Knowledge in Wind and hybridization are desirables.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish is ideal.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• International experience managing technical operations across multiple countries, in particular Poland and Italy.
• Experience acting as General Contractor subcontracting directly main activities, dealing with contracts, deadlines, quality, penalties, etc.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, dynamic, energetic, and hands-on approach.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate should be autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving industry, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive change.

Taylor Hopkinson is in search of a Project Manager for a reputable manufacturing and EPC company that will lead the energy transition with onshore wind, BESS, and hydrogen solutions.

Based in Madrid, this person will support the construction and management of the different projects in Spain and Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the different stages of onshore wind, BESS and hydrogen projects in Spain and Europe, focusing on project management, budgeting, contract management and so on
• Coordinate with local and international teams during the later stages of engineering and RTB stages before starting the construction and manage the team responsible for it until the COD
• Monitor and report project progress to the Board
• Identify potential risks during the execution of the projects and implement actions
• Collaborate with external partners, clients and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• Technical Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience in the engineering and EPC of onshore projects
• Availability to travel when required
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving mindset, as well as the capacity to understand and work with different cultural idiosyncrasies.
