Our client is a mid-cap private equity fund with a global presence (USA, UK ,Germany, Spain) specializing in identifying and nurturing investment opportunities across diverse sectors. Our commitment is to deliver superior returns to our investors through strategic investments and active portfolio management.


Role Overview:


The Private Equity Associate will play a pivotal role in the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating potential investments to managing portfolio companies. This position requires a professional with 3-5 years of experience in a Tier 1 investment bank, possessing strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Investment Analysis: Conduct comprehensive industry and market research to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess investment viability and forecast performance.
  • Due Diligence: Lead due diligence efforts, including analyzing financial statements, assessing operational performance, and coordinating with legal and accounting professionals.
  • Deal Execution: Assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms, preparing investment memorandums, and presenting findings to the investment committee.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, support strategic initiatives, and work closely with management teams to drive value creation.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Tier 1 investment bank, with a focus on M&A or leveraged finance.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
