¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

El/la candidato/a seleccionado/a deberá cumplir los siguientes requisitos:

• Diseño de soluciones basadas en IaaS, SaaS y PaaS para Outsourcing o Disaster Recovery

* Conocimientos amplios en arquitecturas de sistemas (FrontEnd, Backend, Preproducción), redes de almacenamiento(redes SAN, NAS, Object Storage) y Backup

* Conocimientos genéricos de tecnologías de virtualización de servidores tanto con tecnología VMWare (vSphere,vCenter, VCloud Director) como Microsoft (HyperV, SystemCenter) así como VDI.

WHAT YOU OFFER

- Master´s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years´ related working experience as fullstack developer.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).

In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with a global team focused on development, implementation and support of software solutions related to the environment, health and safety (EHS) of people and production plants at BASF.
• Provide ongoing development and maintenance related to the existing and continuously developing global portfolio of operational EHS digital solutions
• Support project work related to implementation of an existing offering or development of a new solution within the operational EHS portfolio

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the databases relevant to the operational EHS portfolio and ensure the ongoing sustainability of those internal product offerings.

MAIN TASKS

Digitization / innovation

Act as a Global / Regional representative of BASF Digital community, supporting BASF Digital roadmap, helping GDS to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way.
- You will leverage your expertise in database architecture to design new database solutions as part of new product development projects for the operational EHS portfolio. You will use your skills in Database Administration to support database setup, building/ modifying the architecture based on the need for various solutions in the operational EHS product portfolio
- You will gather requirements, through communication with subject matter experts and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal and external personnel, including system architects and software developers to determine project requirements and capabilities, and strategize development and implementation timelines
- Help other team members, especially software developers, with understanding how to work with the database server, database and its schema through training and individual support, and by preparing database queries, stored procedures, views
- Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
- Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements You will demonstrate customer focus by quickly troubleshooting and resolving issues affecting ongoing use of the solution portfolio, including Power BI dashboards connected to various EHS source systems
- You will support the implementation and ongoing support of cloud-based databases for internally developed EHS platforms
- You will support the setup of data lake layer for the topics related to operational EH

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree or significant work experience in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Database architecture and design experience for large projects and products
- Expertise in PostgreSQL database design, maintenance and troubleshooting is mandatory. Additional expertise in the following and not limited to MongoDB, Cosmos DC, Redis would be advantageous.
- Expertise in Databricks
- Experiencing Agile way of working or agile implementation approach
- Proficiency in Power BI
- Proficiency in working with cloud databases especially Azure (or AWS and others)
- Experience in data warehousing and mining, data visualization and data migration.
- Familiarity with Digital technology - e.g.: RPA / automation, Power Platform, Machine leaning / artificial intelligence, etc
- Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey
- Excellent issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools for development, release, and monitoring
- Experience working in an agile scrum based team

About The Role

As a full member of the Drivers team within Aggregation, you’ll play a key role in extracting data from a variety of custodian entities. Here’s what you’ll be diving into:

• Large-scale data extraction & processing – Build high-performance software (mainly in Python) to handle vast amounts of financial data. 🐍💾
• Collaborating across teams – Work closely with technical and financial experts to deeply understand the data you’re processing. 🤝📊
• Automating financial logins – Navigate and automate login processes, including multi-factor authentication mechanisms. 🔐💡
• Reverse engineering banking websites – Decode how online banking platforms work and optimise data retrieval. 🕵️♂️💻
• Building complete ETL pipelines – Own every step, from extraction to transformation and loading. ⚙️🔄
• Extracting data from diverse sources – Whether it’s website content, CSV files, or PDFs, you’ll develop efficient ways to capture and process the data. 📜📂

• Implementing new drivers – The software that extracts data from institutions.
• Debugging and improving existing drivers – Ensuring smooth operations.

Our tech stack

• Python 3.9+ – Our main language, with browser emulation tools for seamless data processing.
• JavaScript – Used for advanced web scraping tasks where Python isn’t enough.
• Docker & GKE – Everything runs in Docker containers, with Docker Compose for development and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) in production.
• Databases – We rely on MongoDB and PostgreSQL to handle and store our data efficiently.
• You’ll also work with: GitHub & GitHub Actions – For version control and CI/CD, Redis & RabbitMQ – Ensuring smooth data flow and performance, and other usual suspects in a high-performing environment!

We offer what we think is fair compensation (from 23K to 32K € per year for this role). We're not on the very top of the market, but our intention is to increase compensation as you grow with the company. You will not be left behind. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team in designing and developing a robust Core Platform, driving the advancement of our Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering, and supporting the migration of legacy systems to the new architecture.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the platform and services that support a suite of mobile and web applications. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing robust, scalable, and secure backend systems, providing technical expertise across multiple squads as well as defining and enforcing the standards that ensure their integrity and compliance.

This role requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, making strong communication and proactive engagement essential. You should be able to articulate and support your recommendations with sound reasoning, grounded in engineering best practices and factual analysis, while maintaining an open, fair, and, where necessary, assertive approach.

*What You´ll Do* Roles and Responsibilities
* Become the tech expert about the project, having the wide picture of how everything intercats in details.
* Work independently across multiple squads in the same project, providing technical expertise and guidance.

*What We´re Looking For* Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 6 years proven experience as a backend developer with a strong focus on Java development with Spring (e.g., Boot, Cloud, Framework).
 
* Solid understanding of cloud-native development and experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (preferable), AWS, or Azure.
 
* Expertise in domain-driven design (DDD) and its application in software development.
 
* Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and experience in building and deploying microservices.
 
* Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
 
* Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google Pub/Sub ).
 
* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
 
* Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
 
* Understanding of solid engineering principles, including SOLID, DRY, and KISS.
 
* Strong knowledge of Software & Cloud design patterns, especially Strangler Fig.
 
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Gradle, Maven, ArgoCD).
 
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
* Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience in frontend development, especially using React framework.
