Position Overview
This role focuses on developing, updating, and executing the commercial strategy and plan for the Southern regions to drive volume, revenue, and margin growth. It involves managing and nurturing relationships with existing regional customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities in emerging categories. The position requires excellence in executing global account strategies and delivery, leading bid processes to achieve key performance indicators, and fostering successful customer engagements. Additionally, the role emphasizes leadership by inspiring and developing a high-performing team, fostering a growth mindset, and building organizational capability.
Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Commercial Planning and Execution: Develops, updates, and executes the Commercial Plan for assigned Southern regions, aligned with company strategy.
- New Business Development: Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, including leadership in marketing, competitiveness, and sustainability initiatives.
- Customer Relationship Management: Builds and nurtures strong relationships with regional key accounts, achieving high retention, satisfaction, and cross-commercial KPIs.
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Gathers and analyzes market data to guide marketing efforts, reports trends, and positions value-added products for competitive advantage.
- Customer Satisfaction Improvement: Monitors and enhances customer satisfaction, utilizing surveys and setting actionable plans to address feedback.
- Budget and Profitability Oversight: Monitors, reports on, and achieves commercial annual budgets, including revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Margin Optimization: Identifies and implements margin improvement projects, including pricing strategies, product innovations, and supply chain efficiencies.
- Bid Process Leadership: Develops bid strategies, leads regional customer bid processes, and achieves KPIs for new business success rates.
- Commercial Team Leadership: Inspires, coaches, and develops direct reports, fostering a collaborative growth mindset and ensuring alignment with the commercial strategy.
- Risk Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Identifies major risks to customer retention and development while representing the company at external events to promote its value proposition.
- Previous expeirence in a senior Commercial/Sales leadershop position in an international FMCG/food & beverage/packaging company
- Responsibility for high-level key customer relationship management
- Strategic commercial planning and forecasting
- Commercial contract management and negotiation
- Successful commercial team leadership, with an awareness of cultural differences in a commercial and marketing environment
- Understanding of an operations and supply chain environment
- Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills, with a sound understanding of building and maintaining key customer relationships
- Effective and engaging communication skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English
