Couriers are the cornerstone of Glovo’s marketplace. We are seeking an Intern (Supply Excellence) who can strike the perfect balance between creativity and data-driven precision, turning seemingly impossible projects into reality. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the optimization of a key global operational framework.
In this role, you will be refining and streamlining the intricate process of updating and managing courier payment rules across a diverse portfolio of over 20 countries. This position will involve the design and creation of sophisticated dashboards, the development of innovative automation solutions to elevate operational efficiency, and the establishment of robust alert mechanisms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to critically assess complex requests, ensuring the seamless integration and implementation of new payment configurations.
THE JOURNEY
- Define, own, and optimize how we compensate all the orders in Glovo in more than 20 countries.
- Understand and address local and regional needs by stepping into the shoes of the couriers and truly understanding their perspective.
- Manage dashboards and create new tools to improve the department’s metric visibility.
- Develop analytical frameworks and models, while effectively communicating with the entire department.
- Dive deep into data to identify key factors and actions to improve KPIs, taking accountability for outcomes.
- Innovate to contribute to the ongoing improvement of courier profitability.
- Bachelor in Engineering, Math, or any technological domain (tech bootcamps)
- Passionate about analytics: you enjoy deep diving into problems to find the root cause
- Problem-solving skills: no problem is too small or too big
- Excel / Google Sheets proficiency
- Nice to have SQL and Python
- Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Data Studio & Qlikview is a plus

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE

- Own the strategy for your part of the product - which is typically aligned to a key customer persona.

- Collaborate with key customers to help them adopt and go-live with the latest versions of the product, including capabilities which you helped shape, design and deliver.
- Help train our sales, services and support teams so they can make customers successful.
- Present new functionality to customers and partners as part of the new release process at webinars, our conference and occasionally one on one.
- Answer escalated customer queries on functionality and identify bugs.
- Extensive and demonstrable experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner
- A proven understanding of modern Product Management practices, such as Opportunity Canvases, User Story Maps, Objectives and Key Results, Lean UX, rapid prototyping and storyboarding.
- Experience working on enterprise software products and a working knowledge of the constraints and opportunities that this implies.
- Experience of building Reporting solutions, either as products or as internal solutions in your role.
- Working knowledge of financial concepts - revenue, invoicing, profit and margin, forecasting, currency conversion
- A hunger and ability to learn quickly and work through ambiguity to create clarity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to both listen and lead.
- Product design, analytical and problem solving skills.
