At Eni, we are looking for a Project engineer within Eni Plenitude Renewables Spain in Madrid, Spain. You will be responsible for providing technical support to the development, construction, operation and maintenance phases of renewable energy projects, mainly photovoltaic and storage.

As a member of the development project management and services at Eni Plenitude Renewables Spain you will be responsible for

  • Study the viability of the sites and carry out preliminary designs for PV/storage projects.
  • Manage external subcontractors to carry out the necessary technical studies, topographical, geotechnical, pull-out test, hydrological...etc.
  • Management and coordination of external engineering companies to prepare in due time and form the technical documentation required by the Business Development Department, guaranteeing the optimization of designs and compliance with the applicable regulations.
  • Supporting the Business Development Department in liaising with developers, landowners, local authorities, and the electricity system operator in relation to technical issues and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department in the preparation of the technical documentation required for the tendering of engineering and construction services, also in charge of the evaluation of the technical proposals.
  • Supporting the Legal Department in the negotiation of EPC and O&M contracts.
  • Supporting the Construction Department in the organization of engineering activities during the execution of the projects.
  • Coordinating the Property Engineering contracted for each project under construction in order to ensure that the engineering developed by the EPC complies with the contractual technical specifications and the applicable regulations.
  • Participating the commissioning process of the projects supporting the construction team in the definition of the appropriate procedures, the verification of the different commissioning tests (cold and hot commissioning, PR test...etc) and in the elaboration of the punch list.
  • Supporting the O&M team in the development of PR and production models, PR and availability calculations, and resolution of technical problems that may arise during the operation of the wind farms in operation.
  • Coordinating with the O&M team any necessary technical updates of the projects in operation associated with regulatory changes or new requirements of the grid operator.



This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

  • experience in the design of photovoltaic and storage projects. Knowledge of wind power technology will be a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of OFFICE, AutoCAD, PVSYST, Google Earth, QGIS.
  • Advanced level of English (reading, spoken and written). Knowledge of French would be an asset.
  • Experience in coordination and support at engineering level of the electrical works associated with the construction of a PV/storage farm.
  • Knowledge of the design of substations and high voltage lines.
  • Knowledge of Spanish laws and technical regulations, as well as international standards applicable to the photovoltaic sector.
