ICN2 is a research institute focused on nanoscience and nanotechnology, providing cutting-edge solutions and fostering scientific innovation. Our Marketing, Communication & Fundraising Department plays a key role in promoting research activities, scientific projects, and institutional communications through high-quality visual and digital materials.
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Webmaster and Graphic Designer to join our team temporarily. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the ICN2 website, supporting web-based projects, and creating high-quality graphic and visual materials for institutional and scientific communications. This role requires an immediate start.
Main Responsibilities
Website Management & Development:
- Maintain and update the ICN2 public website using Joomla.
- Manage website hosting, domains, and software updates.
- Provide technical support for research group and project websites.
- Contribute expertise in UX and web design to improve digital communication efforts on the web.
Graphic & Visual Design:
- Design promotional materials (posters, brochures, flyers, rollups, banners) for institutional and scientific events.
- Create scientific illustrations, including diagrams, figures, and visual representations of research findings.
- Develop visual content for academic papers, presentations, journal covers, and funding proposals.
- Ensure brand consistency across all design projects.
- Valuable: Knowledge in audiovisual content creation (basic video editing, motion graphics, etc.).
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Joomla and WordPress for web maintenance and updates.
- Strong knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Experience in UX/UI design and modern web development principles.
- Ability to create engaging scientific illustrations and data visualizations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with researchers, the marketing team and external suppliers.

- Contract Length: Temporary (leave substitution)

- Salary will depend on qualifications and demonstrated experience.
