Context And Mission
The Education and Training team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) coordinates activities and fosters collaborations in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC) with leading universities, research institutions, and supercomputing centers at the local, national, and European levels. Our mission is to support the development of the next generation of HPC professionals and strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in supercomputing through high-quality, accessible training initiatives.
We are seeking a collaborative and innovative professional with experience in training programmes in HPC or related areas to play a key role in European projects focused on HPC education and training.
A central focus of this position will be the scientific training aspects of the AI Factory. As part of the AI Factory initiative, the successful candidate will contribute to the design, coordination, and delivery of AI courses for a wide range of audiences, including professionals, students, and scientists. This role will support the development of high-quality, ethical, and accessible training content, while ensuring consistency across all learning pathways. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with academic and industry partners, foster innovation, and strengthen AI skills across Europe.
This project is funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, in accordance with Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of 14 December 2020, and regulated by Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 February 2021, in the context of the “BSC AI Factory” project.
The BSC AI Factory project has received funding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 101234399. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme and Spain, Portugal, and Türkiye.

Key Duties
- Coordinate foundational and specialised training for scientific personnel at BSC, in collaboration with BSC researchers from all research departments
- Oversee curriculum development, instructional design, and harmonisation of training modules across participant groups
- Coordinate and support training events, seminars, and meetings for various audiences at different levels
- Collaborate with universities to deliver student-focused initiatives
- Monitor development progress, identification of content gaps, and alignment of training efforts
- Work closely with internal BSC departments and external stakeholders
- Prepare documentation, reports, presentations, and deliverables aligned with project milestones
- Support the design and implementation of the BSC training program in alignment with evolving European strategies and project frameworks
- Support training delivery logistics in collaboration with the wider Education & Training team as needed
- Education
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Computer Science, Project Management, Science Communication, or similar)
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing training programmes (ideally in HPC, AI or emerging technologies)
- Ability to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups (technical, academic, industrial, public sector)
- Experience with coordination of academic or technical events and training
- Ability to effectively manage time and organise information to ensure the smooth functioning of multiple ongoing activities in parallel
- Competence using office software and tools to edit documents, create presentations, and store and analyse data
- Competence participating in, hosting, and presenting during online and hybrid meetings
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience working in interdisciplinary environments or public-private partnerships is highly valued
- Experience in EU-funded project environments or international collaborative projects is a plus
- Familiarity with HPC, digital skills training, or higher education frameworks is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish and Catalan are a plus

The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:
- Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points
- Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.

You´ll join the newly formed IT Management domain, where we´re creating a platform to manage onboarding, permissions, support, and equipment, so new employees are productive from day one. A Senior engineer at Factorial influences requirements definition with the PM, and is autonomous to deliver a polished solution that matches those. You participate in the team´s decision through Requests For Comments that you write yourself or reading others´.
You will be a product engineer, taking ownership of big initiatives, and being interested in the outcome, not just the output. About the outcome, you´ll also work with your team members to establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap, putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain.
You will be involved in customer calls to learn about their pains & needs.
You will review code daily and get feedback on your own code at every pull request, from all team members, including juniors.

¿Qué funciones tendrás que realizar?:
Dentro del proyecto de digitalización del departamento de montaje de la factoría de Palencia se está trabajando en el desarrollo de nuevos programas en las tablets de nuestros JU (Jefes/as de Unidad).
Dentro de este marco deberá: Actualización de las tablets para gestión de la polivalencia.
Adaptación de las tablets para que, teniendo en cuenta la maqueta disponible, proponga la mejor organización diaria.

Requisitos
- Estudiantes de Grado Universitario o recién titulado/a Ingeniería, etc.
- Valorable nivel de inglés, francés u otros idiomas (B2)
- Usuario/a avanzado/a de Ms Office
