Sales Development Representative (SDR) DACH Market | Founding New Factorial IT Unit
Factorial · Barcelona, ES
. SaaS Office
Hello! 👋
Factorial is known for transforming how companies manage HR and Finance through a single, intuitive platform, but now we’re taking things one step further!
We’re launching a brand-new IT Management product, and we’re building the founding sales team that will take it from 0 to €5M ARR in two years. Factorial IT will operate like a startup inside Factorial: its own roadmap, its own go-to-market, and a team expected to grow from 0 to 20 people. And we’re looking for our Founding SDRs to help us make it happen.
But be aware, this is not a standard SDR job; It's an opportunity to shape how we build, sell, and scale an entirely new product category at one of Europe’s fastest-growing SaaS companies, and your insights will shape our GTM strategy and success.
The Role 📜
As a Founding SDR, you’ll be the first point of contact between Factorial IT and IT & Operations leaders across Europe.
You’ll experiment, open doors, test new messaging, and help define the outbound engine of this new business unit.
You’ll partner closely with AEs, Product, and Marketing; contributing directly to the processes and playbooks that our future team will scale.
If you enjoy building from the ground up, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and seeing your ideas turn into real go-to-market decisions, this role was made for you.
What You’ll Do 🧠
- Drive the first wave of pipeline generation for Factorial IT through structured, multi-touch outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls, and video), targeting IT and Operations leaders in France and beyond.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities with a strong understanding of the IT product line, identifying real business pain points and matching them to our value proposition.
- Research and map target accounts, identifying key IT decision-makers and building a clear, informed strategy for each account.
- Experiment with messaging, angles, and outreach strategies, contributing to the creation of early GTM playbooks and scalable outbound processes.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handovers, improve conversion rates, and continuously refine the buyer journey.
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Marketing, sharing patterns from conversations to help shape positioning, demos, and market narratives.
- Maintain accurate tracking of activities, learnings, and experiments in HubSpot, ensuring visibility and alignment across the founding team.
(The must-haves)
- Expert German speaker with strong professional English; other languages are a plus!
- Previous experience or strong motivation to develop in B2B SaaS sales roles such as SDR- BDR...
- Solid communication skills with the ability to articulate value clearly and confidently.
- Organized, structured, and capable of managing multiple outreach activities in a high-velocity environment.
- Experience and willingness working toward ambitious targets within a fast-moving, early-stage setup.
(The behaviours and soft skills that make you thrive here)
- Tech-savvies; curiosity and a genuine interest in SaaS, technology, and how IT teams work.
- A proactive, experimental mindset. You enjoy trying new angles, testing ideas, and learning from data.
- Strong listening skills and empathy that help you understand prospects' needs quickly.
- Adaptability: you feel energized by change, iterative processes, and building from scratch.
- A collaborative spirit. You enjoy working closely with AEs, Product, and Marketing to shape something new.
At Factorial, we’re building the leading business management software for companies of all sizes. Our platform centralizes key workflows across HR, finance, and operations, freeing teams from manual processes so they can focus on what really matters: leading, growing, and taking care of their people.
With over 1,200 employees across 7 markets, we serve 700,000+ users and are one of Europe’s fastest-growing SaaS companies, backed by top-tier investors and proudly headquartered in Barcelona.
We believe in bold goals, radical ownership, and inclusive collaboration. If you're excited to shape the future of business management technology, we’d love to meet you.

Mid Software Engineer - Operations Domain
Factorial · Barcelona, ES
React Javascript Python Agile Cloud Coumputing Ruby TypeScript Ruby on Rails Office
We´re looking for a Mid Software Engineer to join one of our cross-functional engineering teams.
Our teams are mission-driven, diverse, and passionate about solving real-world problems for thousands of companies globally. While the domain you´ll work in may vary (e.g., Operations, Talent, Finance, Growth), the expectations, autonomy, and support will be consistent.
The Engineering team at large
At Factorial, we are a team of +150 very talented fullstack developers. We look for smart people who are curious, proactive and have great communication skills.
We are not looking for a long list of skills and technologies. Our stack is Ruby on Rails for the backend and React/React-native for the front end.
If you´re looking for new challenges in a people-first company regardless where you live, keep reading!
What You´ll Do
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to build user-centric, maintainable solutions.
- Develop features across the full stack (frontend/backend).
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team rituals to maintain high engineering standards.
- Take ownership of tasks and deliver independently or in small groups, with growing autonomy.
- Debug production issues and contribute to the stability and performance of the platform.
- Work in agile teams with clear priorities and a shared roadmap.
- Learn continuously and contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Contribute to planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Your Profile
- Experience with at least one modern backend language or framework (e.g., Ruby, Python, Node).
- Good experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript on the frontend.
- Ability to collaborate in English (spoken and written) across cross-functional teams.
- A strong sense of ownership and a mindset focused on outcomes, not just delivery : we´re looking for an engineer, not a programmer.
- You´re pragmatic: you know when to ship fast and when to raise the quality bar.
- You´re a team player who thrives in a feedback-driven, transparent culture.
At Factorial we don´t evaluate you by the years of experience you have, we evaluate your knowledge and skills. How? We have a Career Path with a rubric framework where we define what is expected for each experience level and skill. This framework allows you to know at which level you´re right now and what you need to keep growing. As we love transparency, our Career Path includes the salaries for each level and we share it during the first interview to make sure we´re aligned.
For this mid-level position, the annual gross salary is 425000. This includes a base salary of 400000 and a variable pay of up to 25000 annually (paid quarterly), depending on the company´s goals.
Your daily life with us
- You´ll start with a 2 weeks onboarding period, where you will:
- You will be learning about Factorial, our product, our team, our clients
- Pair with each member of the team at least once, to see their current initiatives
- Solve low-stake bug tickets or quick wins
- Commit early and often thanks to our cloud dev environment
- Be fully integrated in the team´s rituals from day 1
You will be a product engineer, taking ownership of big initiatives, and being interested in the outcome, not just the output. About the outcome, you´ll also work with your team members to establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap, putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain.
You will be involved in customer calls to learn about their pains & needs.
You will review code daily and get feedback on your own code at every pull request, from all team members, including juniors.
You will learn from the entire team, both on technical topics (performance, architecture...) and core skills, in an environment driven by engineering quality. You will also mentor junior team members and help them learn from your experience.
How We Work
We follow an office-first, flexible approach (80%-20%) because we believe the best products are built when people collaborate face-to-face.
We work on-site several days a week in our Barcelona HQ (or Madrid office) to connect, brainstorm, and ship together, while keeping flexibility for deep work and personal balance.
Benefits
We care about people and their well-being:
- Save expenses with Cobee and get your salary in advance with Payflow
- TaxDown to simplify your taxes and maximize your savings!
- Healthy life with Gympass and Alan as private health insurance
- Language classes with Yolk Academy & Factorial Language exchange
