About the Role
We are seeking a Content Manager to lead and coordinate all activities related to content creation, development, and management for the Kings League World Cup (KLWC). Based in our Barcelona headquarters, this role involves overseeing a diverse team to ensure the quality, consistency, and relevance of content across all Kings League World Cup events, in alignment with guidelines set by the Content Director. The successful candidate will work closely with teams in production, video editing, social media, and design to deliver impactful, internationally focused content.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all content production for the Kings League World Cup, ensuring that content aligns with the league's global vision and objectives.
- Maintain direct communication with international teams, supervising the entire content creation process from ideation to publication, and ensuring quality and consistency across all platforms.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of writers and editors, collaborating with various departments to identify content needs and ensure timely, high-quality content delivery.
- Report directly to the Content Director, assisting in strategy development, and ensuring alignment with the broader content strategy while accommodating time zone differences.
- Monitor streams, social media channels, and other content, creating written reports to inform and adapt strategy.
- Organise schedules, agendas, and meetings between global and local teams to facilitate collaboration and information sharing across different markets.
- Analyse performance metrics and data to assess content impact, making strategic adjustments to optimise performance.
- Participate in managing the content department's budget and resources, including coordinating with external vendors like content agencies and freelancers.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between international teams and the Barcelona headquarters, overseeing the production and execution of content to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
- Ensure the quality and cultural relevance of content across different markets, adapting it as needed to resonate with diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience in content management, ideally within a digital or media environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team, while upholding high standards of content quality and consistency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of content marketing strategies, SEO, and data analytics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, managing relationships with external vendors, including content agencies and freelancers.
- A degree in audiovisual communication, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- International exposure is highly valued; experience with global audiences and an understanding of international market trends is advantageous.
- Flexibility in working hours, with availability to work occasional weekends due to the nature of entertainment and football events.
