✔ Lead the charge in the sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of explosives, warheads, and kinetic energy systems for UAV applications. 
✔ Assess and qualify suppliers based on technical capabilities, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing standards. 
✔ Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure explosive and kinetic payloads meet performance, integration, and safety requirements. 
✔ Drive innovation by scouting emerging technologies in high-energy materials, fragmentation mechanisms, and advanced detonation systems. 
✔ Ensure compliance with international ITAR, REACH, and aerospace safety regulations governing explosive materials. 
✔ Optimize cost and supply chain efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and safety. 
✔ Develop and execute testing protocols to validate the performance of explosive payloads in UAV applications.

✔ Technical expertise in explosives & kinetics - Deep knowledge of high-energy materials, detonation systems, and fragmentation physics. 
✔ Experience with defense/aerospace applications - Hands-on experience working with warheads, missile systems, or UAV payloads. 
✔ Strong analytical skills - Ability to evaluate explosive compositions, shockwave dynamics, and impact forces for optimal UAV payload performance. 
✔ Regulatory expertise - Familiarity with export controls, ITAR, REACH, and NATO STANAG compliance for handling energetic materials. 
✔ Procurement & supplier evaluation - Experience managing technical suppliers in highly regulated industries. 
✔ Fluent in English - Technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration require strong communication skills.

We are looking for a Buyer Engineer based in Madrid. Being part of a Procurement Project Team, the candidate will develop, learn and be responsible for:

• Ensure compliance with directives and corporate/project procedures
• Commercial management of the assigned purchases and purchase orders
• Supplier and bidder evaluation and selection
• Launch of Requests for quotation and expediting timely receipt of bids
• Evaluation, clarification and negotiation of sound bids
• Issue of final Commercial Tabulation and recommendation
• Preparing of award proposals
• Issue and follow-up of approved Purchase Orders, including changes and final close out
• Participate in kick-off meetings and solve commercial issues during PO execution

Requirements:

• Relevant experience (+2 years) in purchasing and expediting for significant international projects (experience in the refinery, petrochemical, gas and/or energy sectors will be a plus).
• Technical/Commercial Bachelor Degree.
• Familiar with industrial plant equipment and materials.
• Experience in supplier development and relationship management will be a plus.
• International experience and knowledge of working with suppliers and clients will be a plus.

Mission

As a Procurement Contract Specialist, you'll be responsible for identifying, soliciting, and selecting reliable sources of supply of materials, equipment, and services to support project execution, as well as preparing purchase orders, controlling prices and quality, and ensuring the delivery of materials and equipment to meet objectives.

Under direct supervision, you will assist with the implementation of contract administration procedures and coordinate or monitor the completion of administrative tasks while administering activities associated with contracts for services, the purchase of equipment, materials, or products. You'll also participate in and/or conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities, and providing agreed-upon approvals and supporting documentation of payment of invoices.

Accountabilities

• Comply with Company and Project purchasing policies and procedures and act within limits of delegated authority.
• Work with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE and quality to ensure specifications of materials and equipment is provided on-time.
• Identify, develop and propose sources, solicit suppliers, receive quotations and bids. Undertake negotiation of orders, follow-up, schedule and expedite deliveries.
• Negotiate terms & conditions, prepare contracts, monitor contractor performance and delivery of services to meet objectives.
• Ensure supplier documentation, including insurance guarantees, etc. are received in accordance with purchase order and safely stored.
• Ensure supplier documentation, including engineering, calculations, drawings, schedules and instructions/manuals are received and distributed.
