Job Summary:
The Product Designer is responsible for building the UI and maintaining UX best practices across all our products. You will be responsible for taking your projects from concept and research all the way through to completion, working alongside the Frontend and Product teams to ensure their needs are met whilst adhering to the latest design trends and innovations.
It is your responsibility to always think about the bigger picture, maintain design systems for our platforms and be able to converse with stakeholders and educate them on your design choices.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
- Build & maintain design systems within Figma, adhering to the atomic design principles
- Utilize all features within Figma + explore plugins to create a bulletproof, unified workflow
- Build a clear format for all files that is unified so it creates unity within the team and for all stakeholders utilizing your designs (PO/PMs, Devs, Site Managers)
- Ensure you are well aware of SEO requirements, technical limitations that may affect your designs and be able to find solutions
- Work closely with the creative designers to implement their branding and graphical ideas into your products, providing them with technical specifications
- Maintain platform UI kits are unified with UI kits developed by the development teams, if any changes are made, ensure all necessary development teams and PO's are aware
- Create and maintain design systems that are used within our products to a pixel-perfect standard in Figma
- Research and deploy the latest design and product trends in the UI that result in better User Experience for our end users
- Look outside of our industry into apps/websites/viral trends, to innovate and bring new ideas to the business model
- Work with PM/PO teams to ensure your designs are correctly translated into working products
- Provide working prototypes to help stakeholders and developers have a more accurate idea of how the product or its modules should work across all devices
- Will facilitate and champion collaboration, and mutual respect throughout the creative process, promoting open communication among all team members and stakeholders
- Encourage and promote best practices are followed across the team
- Always on top of latest design trends to ensure the team and our products are modern and pushing boundaries
- Ensuring you have the research and knowledge to back up your design thinking when explaining your theories and prototypes to stakeholders
- Allowing time to educate and document your theories in confluence, or in demonstrations so people can understand your philosophy and provide feedback if necessary
- Manage your Jira board and projects in a timely manner
- Ensure that any migrations or development work are not delayed due to design constraints
- Aid developers when handing over design projects, whether it be exporting imagery, providing details and insights or adjusting designs to updated specifications/limitations
- Attend meetings that are outside of direct design work but could affect project or product outlook to be aware of the full picture
- Learn as much as you can about the product development process so you can adhere your designs to any limitations and understand our products from a wider perspective
- Think about various factors within design that affect the UI and UX, and ensure those principles are visible in your work and that you share that knowledge with the wider group

You Will Also
