Open Evidence is an innovative company at the intersection of economic and policy analysis, behavioural science, and data science. We are expanding our team and seeking a Research Consultant to join our dynamic and fast-paced company. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in social sciences research methods, who are eager to contribute to high-impact projects. Based in Barcelona, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to tackle critical policy challenges and support evidence-based policymaking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and desk research.
• Design, monitor, and conduct interviews and surveys.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
• Prepare presentations and research briefs.
• Draft text for research proposals and deliverables.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of evaluation and impact assessments.
• Identify proposal requirements, including administrative documents.
• Help develop business cases.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology, or Social Sciences (or closely related fields).
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas concisely.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• EU policy knowledge.
• Proficiency in English with professional/academic experience.
• Additional EU languages spoken (French, German or others) are a plus.
• EU work permit.
• Experience with at least one statistical tool (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of survey and programming tools (e.g. Qualtrics) is a plus.

Job Description

Nabla Wind Hub is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to support the Operations department in data management.

Wind Power generates a huge amount of data that needs to be processed, so Nabla Wind Power is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join the staff and assist in the processing of wind turbine SCADA data. It will also be processing data from Nabla Wind Power's proprietary iSpin anemometer. There will be the opportunity to be part of R&D projects involving Nabla and involving wind data processing.

The candidate must have a background in database analysis, process automation and data visualisation tools, as well as a B2 level of English or higher.

The Junior Data Analyst will be based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

Primary tasks

• Collect, clean and organise data from various sources (databases, CSV files, APIs).
• Analyse large volumes of data to extract relevant information.
• Collaborate with the Engineering department in obtaining data needed for analysis.
• Collaborate with the Operations department in the drafting of reports, process monitoring, and related tasks.
• Support in the automation of analysis processes by means of SQL, Python
• Documenting processes and methodologies used in the analysis.

Requirements

·        Essential:

o  Programming experience, preferably with Python.

o  Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

o  Ability to analyse and process data.

·        Desirable:

o  Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

o  Experience in process automation.

o  Handling of data visualisation tools (Power BI, Matplotlib).

o  Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Firebase).

o  Level of English B2 or higher.

Misión del puesto:

Colaborar en el liderazgo del Plan Comercial de IKERLAN y asegurar la consecución de los objetivos comerciales anuales de transferencia a empresa de IKERLAN, así como la puesta en valor de los activos tecnológicos generados por IKERLAN y la potenciación de START-UPs.

Funciones principales

• Planificación y gestión: apoyo en la definición y diseño del Plan Comercial anual.
• Plan Comercial: Liderar el desarrollo del Plan Comercial anual y el desarrollo de mercado.
• Negociación de acuerdos con clientes y administraciones.
• Identificación de activos tecnológicos generados por IKERLAN y puesta en valor en el mercado o mediante la potenciación de nuevas START-UPs.

• Formación: Asesoramiento y formación de Jefes de Proyecto en labores comerciales y de generación/Venta de activos tecnológicos.

• Licenciatura - Máster ADE / Ingeniería Superior o toda titulación de nivel equivalente y que sea relevante para el puesto.
• Se requiere 10 años de experiencia en actividades comerciales y gestión de clientes o en promoción de nuevas empresas.
• Inglés Upper Intermediate (B2) / Euskara Superior (C1).
  
  
  

• Experiencia y conocimiento en captación/diversificación y fidelización de clientes del mercado local (CAPV), estatal (España) e internacional (Europa).
• Experiencia y conocimiento en gestión de clientes (Acuerdos, negociación...).
• Experiencia y conocimiento en la definición, diseño y desarrollo del Planes Comerciales y desarrollo de mercado.
• Experiencia y conocimiento de programas públicos de apoyo a la transferencia.
• Experiencia y conocimiento en la exploración/potenciación de nuevos modelos de negocio, generación START-Ups, etc.
• Capacidad de interlocución, negociación y formalización de acuerdos y colaboraciones (escucha y empatía).
• Capacidad de gestión e innovación de procesos comerciales (preventa, oferta, venta, cierre...).
• Visión estratégica del mercado y los clientes.
