Location: Spain, Griñón, Madrid

Scope of Role

We are currently seeking a Finance Controller based in Griñón (Madrid) to join our Finance team providing analysis, challenge and manufacturing support to the Spain sites to improve business performance and aid decision making.


Skills & Abilities

  • Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting, ACCA would be ideal.
  • Used to manage reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of international (IFRS) and local accounting standards.
  • Five-Eight years’ experience per same role in a Manufacturing Company/Industrial environment is mandatory.
  • Used to work in multinational environments.
  • Proficiency in excel is a must, Power BI positively considered
  • Fluent Business English (written and spoken), Minimum Level B2.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical skills - Understand what is going on in the business analyzing different data to take the right decision.
  • Team player - Work effectively with others.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal - and be capable to learn quickly and understand business dynamics.
  • Dynamism, proactivity and a strong spirit of initiative.
  • Flexibility to travel may be required.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

REPORTING

  1. Monthly reporting process ensuring quality of reporting in terms of data accuracy and timing.
  2. Month end close collaboration with production costs analysis and deviation, inventory valuation.
  3. Planning and Coordinating performance improvement tasks. Tracking and Reporting performance improvement projects progress. Prepare recurring and ad hoc requests from Finance and Production teams.
  4. Support the forecast and annual budget process within the sites under guidance from the Head of Finance, ensuring numbers are pressure tested and financial integrity of the numbers
  5. Perform sales financial evaluation / business simulations / Calculations of main sales KPIs
  6. Coordination Customer Contribution to ensure alignment with monthly/annual business planning + financial guidance in customer negotiation
  7. Perform sales financial reporting (P&L by Customer / Revenue report / Price volume analysis ), Sales trend analysis, & ROI maximization, on daily/weekly /monthly/quarterly and annual bases

BUSINESS PARTNERING

  1. Participate in global and local operational projects on costs, working capital and process improvements.
  2. Business partner by providing and interpreting sales, margin, overhead and working capital trends and variances within the sites and offer timely challenge where required..
  3. Help to develop high level production optimization within Production and financial/ controlling culture and behavior within the production organization.
  4. Prepare monthly management reviews/reporting on production performance and provide insights. Actively promote improvements on reporting in coordination with Production.
  5. Control and analyze potential production inefficiencies (waste, production costs differences, higher conversion costs, obsolete stocks, write offs, stocks differences, etc).
  6. Drive insights and actions with production teams regarding production costs. Update cost structure and profitability follow up.
  7. Discuss and challenge different business areas to identify a set of improvement initiatives for optimizing production flows and network, ensuring its implementation.
  8. Validate and follow up on the financial impact of key initiatives / projects and evaluate the results.
  9. Monitor operational KPIs in coordination with departments in charge.


COMPLIANCE

  1. Ensure compliance with the Company Guidance and Policies, internal regulations and established risk control protocols across the unit.
  2. Propose and design new local controls.
